a seriously nice compact car by Cliff of Madison on 02/20/2012. Trim: 2012 Toyota Yaris LE 3-Door AT, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I traded in a 2009 Yaris on this vehicle and am very pleased. I loved the old Yaris but it was on the noisy side. The new one, with the greater attention to road and wind noise is a pleasure to drive. Considerable attention was also paid to the instrument panel. The old one got a solid 40mpg on the highway and 30 in town. I expect the new one will match or even better those figures. For a compact car of these proportions, this car seats 4 adults quite comfortably.
Cons: My only negative is the "Road Runner" horn. The Beep Beep sound does not adequately convey my disdain for other drivers who don't follow the rules of the road.
Overall review: With the mileage this car delivers and the road worthiness it offers, there shouldn't be a Prius sold at $26,000.

best subcompact for the money by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/18/2012. Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I love the visibility, gas mileage (35 mpg city), comfortable drivers seat and just the way it handles. Parking is a cinch because of the tight turning circle...it has one huge windshield wiper instead of two which is pretty cool. I love the styling of the car, both inside and out. Headlights are excellent. So is the braking - it's got 9 airbags and the safety ratings I've read were very high.
Cons: Wish the shift lever knob was bigger. No tachometer on the LE, not really a big deal though. No center armrest - can't think of anything else. The pros far outweigh the cons.
Overall review: Overall, I think if you want a subcompact car with great gas mileage the 2012 Yaris LE is a great choice - Toyota has a long-standing reputation for building reliable cars -

Great car especially for single person by Vinnie from Fallin Water on 05/27/2012. Trim: 2012 Toyota Yaris L 3-Door MT, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great milage, handling is great too, despite so-so professional reviews, mileage is super I keep tires aired up just right, never go over 65mph, drive very consertively and coast in N when its safe too. 40-42 mpg on every tank. Plenty of room for a small car. Good stereo system for a factory small car.
Cons: No tachometer, so one has to turn down radio upon take off to hear engine. Also air cond. only works well when moving constantly, if you get in bumper to bumper traffic, or just take off after work it works poorly. Wish steering column would move a little lower it is adjustable, but wont move down very far.
Overall review: Overall I love this car, and will drive it till the wheels fall off. Will eventually have a tachometer installled myself, but do think its awful weird Toyota left it out? Wish it was an Auto trans, but bought it used for a killer price so cant complain
