Don't downgrade a wonderful vehicle!

Pros:
Size and ride remind you of a luxury vehicle that you can haul stuff in and go 4 wheelin with.
Cons:
Gas mileage is sometimes a pain.
Overall review:
I have owned mine for 12 years+, bought it as a returned leaser, it was almost showroom new with low miles, I have taken good care of it and I am still happy I own it. Wish they were still made, imagine one wiith a hybrid for highway use!

Tough Reliable Truck outside with Luxury and Comfort inside

I have had my Trooper for over 5 years now and have only had to replace the starter. We have had years of worry free travel. My son has played on the All Star Baseball team the last 4 years and we travel all over the state of Washington and put several thousand miles on our Trooper. It has never let us down. The Isuzu Trooper comes highly recommended by my family. We travel extensively in the Summer and our truck has never let us down. With over 5 years of driving our 9 year old Trooper, the only thing we have had to replace is the starter, it even quit working in front of Sears so, we did not have to had it towed! For a vehicle that costs less than it's competitors, you certainly get more for your money and then some. I am so impressed with the reliability, compared to all the other cars we have owned as our second vehicle, nothing has compared to our Troooper for reliability.

Very Good SUV

Pros:
I bought this SUV used and I love it. I always get compliments when I have riders. I've heard about the rollover problems but I've owned another SUV (Toyota 4Runner) and I think all of them suffer from that at high speed turning. It's very roomy with a lot of features (ES).
Cons:
A crummy stock radio. Repairs can be expensive if taken to dealer. Find a good honest neighborhood mechanic. You'll be fine.

Overall review:
This has been a good car for my busy teenage life. I like the storage space in the back, its handy for picnics and drive in movies and for carrying furniture around. The trooper has excellent excelleration and is an excellent off-roader. I like having the spare tire on the back because I have needed to use it before! It's a 3.2L V6 DOHC
