Classic In The Wings by SF, CA on 01/31/2004. Trim: 1989 BMW 635 CSI, Owned 9 years.
Pros: The ultimate sports coupe - timeless styling and elegance, bulletproof engine and transmission (my BMW mechanic stated that he regularly sees the 3.5 engine at 250K miles before any major work is needed), a classic in waiting. Blue book price is a steal - $60K new.
Cons: Keep an eye on the drive shaft (replace at 75K), metric wheels are an issue (now replaced) as tires are hard to find, reliability issues skyrocket after 120K miles (to be expected; everything but the transmission and engine will need replacing), and *keep away* from dealerships for maintenance (will overcharge on parts pricing).
Overall review: All that said, well worth the upkeep - a gorgeous machine. White paint with elegant Breyton five spoke mags. I've kept it perfectly maintained into 190K miles (after buying it at 60K), and get compliments from enthusiasts and novices alike.

Ultimate Driving Machine by Phill Bastrop, LA on 05/06/2007. Trim: 1989 BMW 635 CSI, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: classic styling, excellent performance, handles very well
Cons: poor gas milage, expencive parts, wish I had a stick shift
Overall review: I have owned this car for several months now, and I still love it as much as when I bought it. the car performs beautifully, but the gas consuption is a bit high for a 6 cyl. I am to blame with my heavy foot, but I am usually getting between 14-18 mpg. as with any BMW parts can be quite spendy, but since I am a mechanic and have worked on BMWs before, I can do all my own labor. I plan on swapping in a manual trans and going turbo to get even more performance, but styling inside and out just cannot be improved upon.

B M W mistake by glen from southampton uk on 08/16/2002. Trim: 1989 BMW 635 CSI, Owned 2 years.
Pros: this vehicle is a must it stylish good looks and its handling just makes you wonder why they ever stopped making such a fabulous car . the interior is beutiful with its leather seats ,electric sunroof and mirrors , criuse controll just wonderful , it might be a little juicy but its not a problem when you realise the pleasure of the drive and if it is a problem then your reading the wrong car review. I think a mini is more your style
Cons: not being able to open it right up on the open road
Overall review: this car is a dream and if you get the chance to try it then dont be shy grab a hold of your self and throw your self in the drivers seat and enjoy the sheer wonder that will come over you. just like it did me at its power and its undeminishing good looks

Pros: Exceptional performance in a heavy road hugging coupe. Transmission dial adds to ease of road touring.
Cons: The backseat but it's a coupe
Overall review: Love driving in the mountains with this coupe. Handles and accelerates smoothly with lots of power.
