A Car for the Enthusiast by Elise from SoCal on 04/24/2013. Trim: 2011 Lotus Elise Convertible R, Owned 3 years.
Pros: The way it drives. Great handling. Wonderful control. Smooth engine and fun to use both feet to drive, no paddles for shifting. Great breaks and such a light feel. A pretty car that is fun to drive.
Cons: Worrying about the attention it attracts. There are some misconceptions about the car that will require the owner to answer the same question many times. Being careful where to park.
Overall review: Amazing car, unlike other cars on the road today. The Elise makes almost all other cars feel big and heavy. It is a precision instrument that will not suit most people. This car is for the driving enthusiast.

Awesome Roadster by Ashley from Buffalo on 02/08/2013. Trim: 2011 Lotus Elise Convertible SC, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Have driven many cars and NONE handle as good as this one for less than twice the price. An absolute delight to drive. A true drivers car. Interior amenities are inconsequential since you are 100% driving the car all the time. Absolutely fabulous! You haven't driven a Car until you've driven a Lotus!!
Cons: No luggage space at all, just enough room for a weekend getaway bag if you stuff it full. A true handmade car so you'll get used to the random squeaks.
Overall review: Hard to imagine any car being more fun to drive. If you're looking for a great roadster it would be hard to beat this car for maximum performance and handling. An ultimate ride.

The Ultimate sports car by O LEE O on 10/31/2013. Trim: 2011 Lotus Elise Convertible R, Owned 2 years.
Pros: A true sports car, not a luxury sports car. I have been slowly adding modifications as I learn about the car and it's abilities. Tracking it about twice a year (which is a blast), I am learning some of its deficiencies and strengths and building on them while honing my driving skills. While off the track, the car gets a lot of attention, sometimes too much. Parking is something that needs to be thought about in advance. I love the fact the car is not easy either entering or exiting. The 2011's were the last Elises made for the US and there were some slight body changes from the previous years making the 2011's a little "rarer". Overall, best car I've ever owned (I'm 57 so I've owned a few).
Cons: Shift likage, somewhat "clunky". As noted earlier, sometime too much attention. Because the car gets so much attention, I spend a lot of time keeping it clean, a lot of people take pictures of it so I feel obligated. Because I track, I go through tires quickly and these tires ain't cheap!
Overall review: Quoting from Everyday Driver; "A hummingbird in a world of owls".
