FX50S - a thorough honest review from an owner that is about the experience by Multiple FX Owner + Many other vehicles on 08/19/2011. Trim: 2011 Infiniti FX50 AWD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Sport + Deluxe + Tech Packages The quilted leather seats are the best that I've seen from Infiniti - very soft, supple and comfortable. With the sport, the seats have an customizable extension under your thighs that can provide support up near or to your knees that releaves pressure on long drives. The sport package adds features like rear active steering and selectable continuous damping control - which makes the vehicle a pleasure to drive through winding roads at speeds that are uncomfortable for most cars. The deluxe package wood trim adds a warm, almost cozy feel in the passenger compartment that I love everytime I enter the vehicle. **see 2nd review for continuation**
Cons: The storage compartment between the front two seats lid is terrible. It feels cheap compared to previous years (not sure when this changed, maybe 09?) and has a "toggle" between the upper compartment and lower, larger compartment. The toggle works some of the time and is the main reason why this feels cheap. The top leather is excellent quality, but smaller than I would like as an armrest. It works though. The way the rear seat switch that initiates the release of the seats so that they fold down feels like it might break easily. While the old way was buried near the seat belt connection in the seat cushion, the new location is still awkward but more accessible. **see 2nd review**
Overall review: This vehicle is about the total experience. I neglect to mention many features that add value like the very short turning radius and excellent sound system that integrates with bluetooth music streaming, USB devices and has a hard drive music storage where you can rip CDs. I sell vehicles that I don't like quickly - even taking the hit for rapid depreciation the first year. I will be keeping this one for quite sometime as I love the experience of driving it. Overall, the FX50S experience is fantastic and highly recommended. Always see if you can get Infiniti VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program). Bing "Infiniti VPP" to see if you qualify - Veterans and affiliated companies (maybe the company that you work for is affiliated somehow...)

Land Shark by Chuck from MD on 04/30/2013. Trim: 2011 Infiniti FX50 AWD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Power, Handling, Interior/Exterior Finish, Dependability, Front Seat Roominess, Rare
Cons: Rear Cargo Size, Tight Back Seat, Gas Mileage, Some Standard Luxury Options Missing
Overall review: It's a odd-duck SUV (more of a CUV) with spunk. It's low-production numbers make it a rare-breed and it's just a joy to drive. Technology and Sports packages are attractive, but pricey. Some typical options found on other luxury brands in its class are plainly missing as standard functions (daytime running lights, automatic liftgate, automatic gasdoor). But for a tall gentleman (6'4"), this vehicle is very comfortable to drive, and the sports package leg support is fantastic for long trips. The power is enough for most and the stopping power is impressive for this 2+ ton vehicle. Little to no brake fade was noticed in hard driving. I would not venture too far off-road in this vehicle as the 22" wheels and short tires along with a stiff suspension would be a bit harsh. Other reviews mention the lack of rear space and I would concur, but it's not intolerable. At the end of the day, this is a fun vehicle and one that I enjoy driving each day - all while being family approved!

FX-35 Everyone should have one by Lead foot from Orlando on 07/03/2011. Trim: 2011 Infiniti FX35 RWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Everything. I bought the FX35 loaded! Can't find anything wrong with it with possible exception of poor visability out of the rear window.
Overall review: Owned a G-37 sedan and traded it in on the FX-35. Incredible car! Really quick for a "large" car. The navigation system is the best I've ever had and was "dead-on" on a recent 7,000 cross country "roadie". Gas mileage is better than I expected with 19 mpg in town and 23 mpg on the "roadie"(at speed)! Stereo system was great!

2011 FX-AWD Owner by jausti on 08/03/2013. Trim: 2011 Infiniti FX35 AWD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Great luxury SUV with excellent horsepower and responsiveness. Excellent sound system with satellite radio, Bose speakers, along with navigation, weather and traffic options. Nicely outfitted with wood trim, high quality leather seating, which are heated and cooled.
Cons: 7-Speed Transmission changes frequently with city driving. Front seats could be a little more comfortable with additional support needed. Rear cargo cover is difficult to remove and place back in cargo area. Gas mileage could be better.
Overall review: Top luxury SUV on the market today!
