Beautiful driving machine
by Frank from Cranston, R.I. on 04/05/2012.
Trim: 1998 Infiniti I30t, Owned more than 10 years.

Pros:
The ride is smooth and acceleration is very good for with the Infiniti I30t, 4-speed automatic. The heated seats and side view mirrors come in handy in the winter. The cruise control is much appreciated on long trips, and the fog lights are a nice added touch. The side lights that come on (illuminating the street and path) when the left or right directional are used is also a nice feature.
Cons:
The rear license plate lamp and accessory fell apart after ten years, and the stereo display is now hieroglyphics, but still functions properly. The digital clock display also fades in and out after seven or eight years.
Overall review:
The car is quiet, comfortable and provides a solid steady ride and accelerates well to pass and takeover. The vehicle is made extremely well and once you get behind the wheel the difference can be immediately felt.

Best car I've ever owned and can never replace it
by Robert from Phoenix on 12/27/2010.
Trim: 1998 Infiniti I30t, Owned 9 years.

Pros:
Interior Comfort, Performance, Handling, Durability, and Quality of all Components. I have the touring model (I30T) and bought it new. I now have 135k on it. I have never replaced the struts, spark plugs, alternator, or water pump. I recently replaced the starter and radiator since they finally failed. I had the original belts and hoses but had them recently replaced due to fear that they may soon fail. I looked seriously at buying a Lexus ES300 when I bought this car but I'm over 6 ft. tall and the Lexus was cramped (and cost 2k more).
Cons:
Paint - but I have the metallic gold and live in the desert so no surprise. Wish I had bought a white or non-metalic but my wife liked the gold. Gas tank lid release - located to the right of the steering wheel rather than towards the driver's door.
Overall review:
I've been so impressed with the 1998 I-30T that I bought a 2001 I-30 for my wife a year ago (with the same mileage of 130k). Unfortunately, the 2001 isn't quite the car as the older 1998 model. The 2001 is tighter in the interior (alittle narrower feel) and has some cost reduction items such as only one Bose rear deck speaker instead of the 1998's 2 rear speakers. I've noticed that the newer Infiniti's (the G Series) have seemed to have gotten smaller and smaller so that's why I feel I that I can never find the same comfort as my 1998 has. The engine is the same in the 1998 as the 2001 and it's a great performer with a smooth transmission. In conclusion, the 1998 I-30t is by far the best car I've ever owned.

"My First Car"
by Jeremy from Miami on 02/06/2008.
Trim: 1998 Infiniti I30t, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
This is my first car, I just got it for my birthday about a week ago and owning it so far has been a pleasure. This car is styled excellently and still looks fairly fresh although it's ten years old. It drives extremely well although rough roads can be irritating (that will happen in any car though). It's extremely powerful and can whip through traffic with ease. The acceleration can sit you back in your seat. The interior has held up extremely well and has most modern features. I really love this car and if it was still available brand new I would honestly pick it up over many others brand new 2008 models.
Cons:
There isn't really anything to dislike. I just wish that the touring model could have gotten a horsepower and torque increase (she's still fast though). Also, I might have to change my accessory belt. This isn't too bad being that it is the origional belt.
Overall review:
All in all I am very pleased with my I30t. Its styling is very good and it has plenty of luxury features and power to boot. I might have some minor problems here and there, but she's holding up really well with no signs of any serious problems at 114,000 miles.

More than I could have asked for it a car!!

Pros:
I like everything about the car. The front end looks great, but now that the car is about 10 years old some may say the body is a bit out of style. As far as the engine and other major mechanical aspects of the car, I have not had to do anything to it except routine mantainence and replace a battery once, and it is going on 5 years since I purchased it. The Bose speakers are wonderful, and in general it is a wonderful car!!
Cons:
Nothing except for it seems that the writing on the control buttons for the radio and a/c is wearing off for some reason...but not a big deal. Oh, and the check engine light came on for no reason.
Overall review:
Buy this car if you can find a reliable seller to give it to you used. Get it checked out before you purchase it though!!
