GX 460 Base by rr2310 on 04/10/2011. Trim: 2011 Lexus 460, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Great Ride, nice interior.
Cons: gas mileage, rear door opens from the side. Should come standard with a better stereo.
Overall review: Great car, a litle pricey. Small space when third row seat are used.

Great for longer travels by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/10/2012. Trim: 2011 Lexus 460, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Cabin silence, comfort and amenities including ventilated seats, reliability track record
Cons: Bouncy suspension, need to press button to see outside temperature
Overall review: This is a great SUV if you travel and want a comfortable vehicle with the ability to tow and/or go off-road, and which provides the flexibility of carrying 6-7 passengers when needed. If you don't tow or don't carry a heavy weight on your hitch (such as several bicycles), go for a lighter, independent-suspension SUV which will be less bouncy and will use less gas.

La yegua (my horse) by Rich on 05/17/2012. Trim: 2011 Lexus 460, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Body on frame undestructibility and reliability. (Never seen a GX on a tow, but seen tens of Rovers on flatbeds). Also like the styling in and out. Most of all, I like the driving ergonomics and the silence when I am driving it. It is my happy place when I have had too much fun on my Mini. It corners very flat for such a heavy vehicle thanks to KDSS.
Cons: Handling could be better...I think. I really hate the shift down time when I need power so it needs to be shifted manually when you want instant power. I wish it had a rear diff lock ala FJ Cruiser or a rugged version for the outdoors lover.
Overall review: It's my four door FJ Cruiser, which will take me anywhere and back.

Luxurious and capable by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/23/2011. Trim: 2011 Lexus 460 Premium, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Excellent fit and finish, in and out. Excellent off road/bad weather capability - a real truck. Good handling characteristics for a truck this weight and size; very comfortable drive, with plenty of cool electronics standard. Well laid-out and designed interior, with some minor "cons". In spite of some "vanilla" comments, I think the exterior design is very clean and sophisticated; it's not a muscle car or a Ferrari - it's a truck. Best built-in NAV system around in my opinion. Good array of convenience and safety options, many included in the base price: hey, it's a Lexus.
Cons: Slightly underpowered for the size, modest acceleration, but very smooth, quiet drive. Rear door (it's been said) - needs to open on the street side. Minor interior annoyances - no continual display of outside temp - you have to push a button. On/off button for audio is located precariously close to driver's right knee, and depending on height, it will be unintentionally pushed on and off in entering, exiting and driving the vehicle. No storage with the third row seats up; none; for a family hauler, this might be a deal-breaker. Reasonably good with the third row down, with generous height, but less than competitors. Pricey, but at this level what SUV isn't?
Overall review: A significant upgrade from the GX 470, and worth looking at if you're in the market for an upscale SUV with lots of comfort and convenience. It's a great ride for daily commutes or the long continental haul, and I highly recommend it.
