An Amazing Vehicle by Velrodez from New Mexico on 02/23/2012. Trim: 2011 Mitsubishi Galant SE, Owned less than 1 year.
5
Pros: All is a Pro in this Vehicle
Cons: Not Cons until now.
Overall review: The Mitsubishi Galant 2011 is an amazing car and with the rebates and deals currentlyavailable it is definitely the best value in its class, especially in the SE trim. You get Navi, rearview camera, computer in dash, 650W 6CD stereo, auto AC, sunroof, auto dimming mirror, 8 airbags, Power seats, Homelink, 18" alloys with perf. tires, all disc brakes - all for far less than any Camry, Accord, Fusion, etc. The 2.4L, 160 HP engine is definitely not a high HP motor BUT it is one of the MOST RELIABLE engines ever built (just ask a mechanic - I did.). And with the sportronic trans in manual mode I can easily keep up with the Bimmers etc. Com'on kids, make a adult purchase, you won't be sorry.

surprising "galoot" by nw ga 63yr old on 05/21/2011. Trim: 2011 Mitsubishi Galant ES, Owned less than 1 year.
3
Pros: on a 900 mile trip it got 30 mpg and was well suited for running 75mph(2500rpm) in quiet comfort and was not as tiring as i thought it could be. surprising "lets get there" car
Cons: at low speed and low rpm the long legged four is coarse and noisy and the ride is choppy empty---better suited for interstate travel
Overall review: good for high speed daily travel---may drive your mother crazy if she drives only in town

Nice and Affordable Mid-size Sedan by Ed from Scranton, PA on 06/27/2011. Trim: 2011 Mitsubishi Galant SE, Owned less than 1 year.
2
Pros: Great gas mileage, great site lines, wonderful audio system and more than adequate power from the 2.4 four-cylinder engine. Like the navi and back-up camera also. The 18-inch alloy wheels give it a classy look.
Cons: The rear seat doesn't go down and some passengers complain about the tilt of the passenger seat.
Overall review: Overall, a great affordable vehicle with many goodies. It's just as good as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry or Hyundai Sonata. The Galant has been refined over years and is the underdog in this class and quietly has always been a winner.

The Best Kept Secret. by Arthur on 05/24/2011. Trim: 2011 Mitsubishi Galant SE, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I used to work at Nissan. The quality of this car exceeds the Altima in all aspects, fit, finish, mechanical. It's better equipped than competitors. It comes in two models. The SE model I bought cost $1500 more than the base and it came loaded. There are no options except leather seating but I liked the wonderful fabric seats and passed on the leather. The SE came with 18 alloy wheels Goodyear Eagle tires, power sunroof, navigation system that works beautifully, computerized displays for the Rockford sound system and Sirrus Radio, automatic transmission, dark wood accent console, heated mirrors and heated front seats (oh yes!) and a $3500 rebate. I get 32 miles per gallon average.
Cons: The red lite gauges took some getting used to but now I realize the red is better on my eyes during evening drives. The navigation screen was very dim in daylight at first until I found the brightness and contrast control screen; the dealer could have done a better job showing me this.
Overall review: I read many reviews before buying. Most labeled it competent but outdated and even having "cheap" plastics in the interior so when I actually inspected my car prior to purchasing it I was so pleasently surprised to find no such thing and instead a refined and quality motor car much like the Mercedes C class and BMW 3 series are not redesigned over many years but refined over time. I realized this refinement of a great design over time makes for a high quality motor car and I would guess that enabled the car to be sold optioned out for much less than competitors. Refinement in the way everthing fits together and works together, for her perfectly fitting interior with exactly the right amount of chome and dark wood accents. Bargain and smart purchase are the words for describing my purchase.
