Pros:
This is my 5th Avalanche. I love them for the comfort and ride. Every year they just kept adding features that I wanted, so I kept upgrading. The fuel mileage is not really great, but the tradeoff for the comfort and power is worth it for me. I love the navigation and stereo capabilities with the MP3 flashdrive. I can listen to any of 200 CD's that are on the flashdrive. With Remote Start, I can cool it down when I come out of the store when it is 100 degrees outside. The cooled seats are the best thing in the world when you have a hot flash coming on. I can still haul plywood in the back when I need to, or grandkids just by moving the seat up or down. The backup camera is a must !
Cons:
Only thing I can think of is with the weight of this truck, they have the rear end geared so low you don't have as much pulling power. When they first came out, you could get a 4.10 rear end, which made it move quick. Now they just have 3.42 or 3.08. I think that was a bad move for Chevrolet, trying to improve gas mileage, but this is still a 5800 lb vehicle. Think that has made a lot of people I know start looking at the Ford and Dodge trucks. Especially with the heavy duty trailer towing package you want it geared to "Move It"!
Overall review:
I Still Love this Truck, and hope they don't discontinue it. It is beautiful, functional, and the LTZ package is great. This was an Expensive truck, but it feels like it is built solid. The doors feel like they line up perfectly, and are not flimsy. It just has a great feel to it. I have not had any problems with this truck. I have owned it for 16 months now, and wouldn't want to drive anything else.

Fantastic Vehicle

Pros:
Quiet. smooth, elegant. Wife loves the vehicle. Has just about everything on it w/o the rear DVD which is ok since the kids are grown,. Pulls my 27 ft trailer with ease. Heated seats are awesome in the cool north! I get about 20 pmg on the highway at 72+ mph. More when I slow to 65.
Cons:
A bit hard getting stuff out of the back of the truck bed. I solved this problem using a rug that I pull forward. The bed is coated in a thicker rubber style matting. Cleans easily.
Overall review:
Was a bit pricey but pulls excellent (6k lb trailer) Excelleration is a blast, is roomy for 5 big adults. Switching to 4 wd auto or 4wd is easy without stopping. Without a doubt, I'd buy another one when this eventually wears out. I have friends who have had theirs for 8 years and still rave about their Avalanche! Great news for me since I keep my cars a long time.

Awesome Truck
by Love the outdoors from Pittsburgh on 02/29/2012.

Pros:
This is the best vehicle going, I have suv luxuries and a truck bed for hauling what ever I need to haul from plants for my flower garden to groceries. I had a suburban before my first Avalanche, and the Avalanche much more versital. In the suburban I was alwasys getting dirt int he carpet or the roof was not high enough. I traded a 04 Avalanche in for my 11 Avalanche and Love it. My husband did not like it at first, but as time went one he now appreciates the advantages of the Avalanche. We Can take another couple out with 2 full seats and lots of leg room and the luxury and comfort with the styling of a nice car or SUV. I can pull our trailer with quads or our boat with no problem.
Cons:
The back window is harder to clean and wipe dry when washing the vehicle. But if you drag out the step ladder there is no problem.
The should become available in 3/4 and 1 ton versions also.
Overall review:
Best Truck ever, I hope they never quit making them.

Pros:
I was drawn to it because of the styling. Ive got the best of a SUV and a pickup. I've traded an X5 for this truck, so im going to be honest with my bias coming from a high-performance fake SUV/crossover to this truck. I DO like this truck very much
Cons:
The steering responds as if the truck was on stilts. is if there was a slight "delay" when you turn the wheel. this may be physics, but I didnt have this feeling in a 2WD tahoe.
The fuel economy is the worst. it gets the same as an H2. Gas happens to be @ $3.75 a gallon, so you can see why im a bit uptight
Overall review:
its a decent truck. Im satisfied with everything EXCEPT the fuel economy. if youre looking for a "real" pure truck give the silverado a good look before commiting to this purchase. It fit my needs
