je suis la morse by naivebritt on 10/17/2010. Trim: 1988 BMW 735i, Owned 5 years.
Pros: this car is brilliant even after I was rear-ended it's large but has a great turning radius good acceleration and decent fuel milage
Cons: the cars electric motors give out car does not like anything but high octane fuel, parts are way over price (320 for one taillight) and front seats twist
Overall review: if your looking for a car and can find it buy it (not too common)

Love my Beemer! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/09/2008. Trim: 1988 BMW 735i, Owned 9 years.
Pros: Looks as stylish today and it did 20 years ago. Handles well, good power and decent gas mileage. Lots of leg room, front and back! Good heavy solid construction, you know that there's a car there. Great visibility (blind spots are almost non-existant) and VERY dependable.
Cons: Dash lights and mileage/clock/distance to empty displays are problematic. Seats are twisted. Although, these are all probably due to the fact that the car is 20 years old and has over 250,000 miles on it. Parts and service are on the pricey side. No tilt wheel or cup holders. Doesn't handle very well in the snow on hills and curving roads.
Overall review: The most comfortable car I've ever owned, and I've owned more than a few (my husband's a mechanic). Even with it's quirks (age again), it's my first choice of the 4 vehicles we currently own. Very dependable and great on long distance trips (we travel approximately 200 miles round trip most weekends during the summer).

"Ultimate Driving Machine" by Brenton D. on 11/06/2007. Trim: 1988 BMW 735i, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Comfortable, roomy, quiet. The major thing I loved about this car was the fact it was low to the ground, but a big boat of a vehicle. A lot of leg room, very comfortable and extremely solid. Properly built.
Cons: Bad gas mileage if you do stop-go-stop traffic (i.e urban city areas), expensive parts, no cup-holders.
Overall review: BMW built this particular 7-series very well.

A classic BMW experience at a reasonable price by Petaluma BMW lover on 10/17/2007. Trim: 1988 BMW 735i, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Even though this car was already five years old when I bought it in 1993, it has served my wife and I well. Repairs are not cheap, but I have done all the normal maintenance, which is easy to do. It rides like a new vehicle and gets tremendous gas mileage on trips (up to 25 MPG). It still looks great and drives like new, with no rattles, squeaks or other noises. It is a very solid car.
Cons: Because it is a 1988, it lacks many of the comfort and convenience features on my newer vehicles, such as a CD/MP3/iPod capabilities, the power of a V-8 and more airbags.
Overall review: If you can find a car that has been lovingly maintained and is garage kept, you can still drive in luxury for a reasonable price and the car is not difficult to maintain, if you can change your own oil, filters, spark plugs and lights/fuses.
