'11 Aveos are improved greatly over older models. by rick on 09/08/2011. Trim: 2011 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I had a 2007 Aveo in the same trim and wasn't that happy with it. But since 2009 Chevy improved the Aveo with a new Ecotec engine, tighter build quality, tighter suspension, and added onstar. The new engine has a higher quaility timing belt that lasts alot longer( I hope). Interior has a nice design and is a nice touch for this class. Ton of room in the Aveo , the head room and shoulder room set this car apart from all others. Much better car than the 09 Kia Rio. My Rio was a base model and had No power steering and taller geraring. The Rio ran at 4000rpms at 75 and that was way too high. Aveo is a much better car overall, although the Rio had a better suspension.
Cons: Cheap Kumo Tires wear out fast and suspension could be even still tighter. Oh i really dislike the bolt on hubcaps. Those fake plastic bolts look aweful and the cap barely covers the rim.
Overall review: The aveo has been significantly improved with the addition of the new 1.6 liter Ecotec engine. It does away with many of the issues with the older aveos like the timing belt issue and plastic thermostat housing. It is a much better car than my '07 model. It rides better, handles better and the quality of the interior seems better as far as door panels and the cup holders. I bought a '09 Rio for $7999,00 and bought my '11 Aveo for unfer $7900.00. The Aveo is a much better car in most aspects. The interior and transmission win it over for the Aveo. The interior or the Aveo features some great guages, a stylish design and a good sounding standard stereo. The seats are comfortable and the cars design offers alot of interior room. The trunk is also large for the class. The car cruises well at 65 and offers a nice ride. The cars tall design and softer suspension give it some issues when its really windy outside. But the car is nimble and is the best bargain on the road.

Pros: I had my Aveo for a month.I think its a very good looking car.It gets great millage and turns are tight.Nice sound system and farely a very nice ride. And it come with OnStar and price was very fare.
Cons: I don't like the fact it has manual locks, windows and side mirrors. And no theft deterrant that sucks. For a 2011 that should be mandatory for this vechicle. It is a little slow comming out of the gate but that ok.
Overall review: It is a good sound car.Good on gas and has a nice style to it.

5Door Hatchback by Virginia on 05/31/2011. Trim: 2011 Chevrolet Aveo 2LT 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: The price was good. The service at dealership was good. It had 200 miles on it when we took it in a trip. We had 3 people and a dog in the hatchback, a large cooler, 3 bags for clothes and 50# of produce. We went for 600 miles straight. It used minamal fuel, we average 39.5 miles to the gallon, and it was loaded down. It was 94 degrees out, the air was running full, and it is an automatic. . The downside is no passenger armrest, limited cargo lighting, and the bench seat in the back should split with the backs when totally moved forward and folded, so you can use one seat for a passenger and fold the other out of the way.
Cons: The front passenger needs an armrest.
Overall review: I"m glad I have it, and it was at the best price I could find of all the like competitors.
