Very Versatile Versa by Almost Empty Nesters on 06/26/2012. Trim: 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL Hatchback, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Roomy backseat. Upgraded interior option gives a more expensive look inside. Upgraded sound system / navigation has great sound. Speed sensing steering makes parking light and provides a good feel of the road while driving. Size of the door pockets is good. Versa HB doesn't seem to be blown around by high winds like our Pontiac Vibe HB (a.k.a. Toyota Matrix) Doesn't require expensive touring tires. Engine is very quiet, even at higher revs.
Cons: Glare off the dash in the windshield can make it VERY hard to see the road in direct sunlight, keep a pair of polarized sunglasses on board at all times to minimize this issue! CVT is not for a driving enthusiast; it is smooth, no sudden take off's or downshifts, it is fine for drivers who don't need performance. Passenger seat does not go back far enough for tall riders, they are better accomodated in the backseat. Very limited storage compartments. Ride and seats are stiffer than a Pontiac Vibe (Matrix).
Overall review: Over all the Versa is an excellent everyday car. If you get a CPO you get a 7 yr / 100,000 mil power train warranty from Nissan that started on the original in service date. Some reviews sight gas mileage is lower than advertised; however, I have been getting 29 mpg in mixed driving. We are almost empty nesters, and believe this will be a perfect car for the daily commute and the longer day trips / weekend getaways. Versa is very versatile!

Not to be overlooked! by Rich on 04/07/2011. Trim: 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL Hatchback, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: MPG, cargo room, comfort for a small car. Standard features.
Cons: Noise level is a little high. Back seats dont fold completly flat.
Overall review: Just a great little car that doesnt act little. We bought one in 2010, and just loved it so we traded our Infiniti G35 {GAS GUZZLER} for ANOTHER Versa just recently. . . Get the hatchback if possible because of the versitile cargo area. All in all, we couldnt be happier with this car. For under 20k you get bluetooth, ipod, nav,moonroof,35mpg avg, good ride, huge and comfy interior and more!

The little chicken said.... by Up, Springhill, FL on 09/17/2011. Trim: 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 S Hatchback, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: CHEAP! Good passenger space. Great visibility. Good acceleration for what it is.
Cons: CHEAP! One of the cheapest looking interiors in a new car I've seen, worse than even the ugly interior of it's older brother, the Altima. Passenger space is great but the cargo space was not so good. Lots of noise. Safety??? Hmm... not based on how the doors sounded so light and tinny
Overall review: I got a Versa as a replacement for a 2011 Ford Focus rental(yes, the new design) with little over 7,000 mile on it that had to be towed when transmission failed and had amber engine light come on. The Versa was not as useful as our Honda Fit, and much much cheaper feeling and handled blah. But HECK, you can get one for next to nothing, right? And I preferred the ride quality to the over rated Ford Focus. It accelerated much better than either the Ford Focus or our Honda Fit. The Versa had EVERY essential, just done cheap, and cheap looking too... Nissan really needs to revamp it's interiors on all it's vehicles. The Altima looks like cr^*&! too inside. I didn't like all the engine noise, road noise, the tinny doors, the grinding CVT noise, the over revving engine noise... but heck, still trusted more than the NEW Ford Focus that had engine sputtering at every idle. It was no comparison to our Honda Fit in terms of utility or quality, but heck you can get one CHEAP!

Good with possible issues. by NGK on 09/16/2011. Trim: 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL Hatchback, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Great leg room, CVT, Good Gas mileage for a powerful engine for this size, keyless entry and keyless ignition, Navigation. The CVT is really good, you won't feel the engine crunch when going uphill.
Cons: Undrivable when driving towards the Sun direction. There is no tint or anti glare on the front windshield. The driver side visor is practically useless. It just stops short of blocking the Sun rays near the face. There are lot of squeaks when turning the knobs of A/C modes. Recently the car stopped on freeway with all kinds of warnings, this happened twice each time after the maintenance is completed, dealer is suspecting that there may be an issue with the Crank shaft, i hope this issue will be resolved.
Overall review: For the price, it is a good choice. Great interior room. CVT is good. Just buy couple of good eye glasses when driving in day time to reduce the glare. Be prepare for the squeaks and rattles sounds in the car. Just remember, it's not a Honda or Toyota.
