Biest with issues
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 02/05/2011.
Trim: 2011 BMW M3 Sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Engine, handling, this car is a biest. I drove many models under $60,000, ranging from Mustang to Lexus, for comparison and there is absolutely no other car that gets even close to the M3. Maybe in straight line speed, but not in handling and breaking.
It is a 4 door sedan, very comfortable and with decent room.
Cons:
Build quality is average at best. Several rattles after 700 miles. The plastic sun visors look so cheap. No seat back storage. This is embarrasing for a $60000 car.
The DSG sometimes acts up. It takes 2-3 seconds to go frm reverse to drive and if you hit the accelerator too early, the car lurches forward.
Overall review:
I am happy with this car and will keept for several years. The cost cutting by BMW is annoying.

best car i ever drove
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/11/2010.

Pros:
the car is stunning. it looks menacing however not too much like a souped up mustang thats all smoke and mirrors. of course its a BMW and not a ford . the car is a monster performer massive acceleration corners like a race car and looks fantastic. everyone looks and admires this car. i chose this over the c63 and the lexus isf. c63 would have been 2nd choice. ford mustang is in the class of a camaro however the camaro looks so much better than the blah mustang
Cons:
the engine is such a screamer that once i push it i back off because i figure im drawing too much attention. but what an engine!
Overall review:
great car will not let this go especially since bmw is eliminating the M3 sedan from the lineup and going to a turbo away from the naturally aspirated V8

Pros:
It is a nice car to have. It's stylish, comfortable, and an overall good performance car.
Cons:
The cabin is a bit dull and drab and isn't all that fun. The severe understeer this thing can occasionally give doesn't help. It's a bit expensive too. The Mustang GT ouperforms it and is so much more fun to drive, doesn't oversteer, and looks better.
Overall review:
A proper sports car if you're a boring businessman.

Useful?
Pros:
Car is a beast. Great looking and sounds great firing it up. The dcs is fun to drive in auto when feeling lazy vs manual M mode to zip around. Surprisingly quiet driving with hardtop and cant even tell its a hardtop till the top goes down. Surprisings smooth with comfort mode even more than my wifes 2010 328ix. It tighens up nicely with the other modes.
Cons:
very small trunk with the hardtop convertable and little (very) leg room in back seats. storage space lacking with very small glove compartment and center storage area. cheap cup holder styling. Expensive with all the options as convert with $83000 is a steap buy. tight getting a set of clubs in through the storage
Overall review:
Great car to drive around town and especially zipping around the highways. Need some warm weather to get the top down. Leasing car but will likely buy out in end as how long is the v8 going to be around for the M3
