An Ultimate BMW
by Michael - SoCal on 07/27/2010.
Trim: 2010 BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo 535i, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
BMW 535i GT is on 7 platform and combines the best of 7 series (huge leg rooms), X5 (head room and utility) and X6 (style, up to each person's taste, a bit odd to me). 535i provides enough power to zoom to 60 around 6 seconds (similar to 550) but still manages to deliver amazing 19/28. I was out to buy 740i and the sales person introduced me with GT series, which feels exactly 7 series' interior front layout, more useful space and 15k cheaper. The most important, it fits into my garage. I think this is a trend setting product, as Audi roll out A7 which shares similar concept.
BTW, navi system is much user-friendly than previous version, with the largest screen ever seen in a car.
Cons:
I feel the run flat 19" tires are translating a bit too much road noise into the car, especially, when in sport mode.
iPod USB slot inside of glove box is not easily found and used.
Overall review:
I think you can not find any better car if you want to have a combination of performance, prestige, utility and economy.
BMW should do a better job to introduce this car, since none of my friends know its existance. But it's good for the current buyers, as BMW has to discount a bit to move GT. Good deal is out there!

Wonderful BMW
by Steve from Moline on 05/17/2010.
Trim: 2010 BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo 550i, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
This BMW is an improvement over previous years in luxury appointments. I've driven Mercedes & Audi's in the past and this vehicle is on par with them. The acceleration is strong & the handling is good, especially in sport mode. The hatchback gives it versatility in hauling larger objects. The ride is very refined. I'm enjoying this car very much.
Cons:
Nothing so far.
Overall review:
Option packages can easily add $10-15,000 to the base price. A well spec'd car will run in the high $70's. Rear & side cameras are a must for this large vehicle. The idrive is easy to use. This new generation idrive is better than what Audi has to offer. The full roof panoramic sunroof is a great feature.

the best sport cross over sedan
by Andrew, NJ on 05/09/2010.
Trim: 2010 BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo 550i, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
The car looks very sporty on the road than on the pics..plenty of head and leg room and i bought the car loaded. The rear convenience package gives a feel to the passengers in the back seat like in the first class of a plane..greatacceleration and drives like a beauty. certainly a head turner.!!better than most bimmers i owned..if you're getting this car the blind spot might be a problem. buy it with the driver assitance package as they have blind spot detection and it's certainly worth the money.absolutely great car i'll recommend for family and fun drive!!
Cons:
blind spot but that can be avoided using blind spot mirrors or buying this car with driver assistance package.
Overall review:
best cross over on the road!!
