Great litle car! by John on 07/19/2011. Trim: 2010 Mazda Mazda5 Touring, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: Accleration, interior space, fun to drive, manual-shift mode on the automatic trans, rear sliding doors, and lots of other things!
Cons: I got my car on a special sale in March of 2011 as a clearance because it hadn't sold. That meant that it had been on the lot, and therefore one of the tires had a flat spot, leading to a vibration around 45 mph. Other that that, it's been perfect!
Overall review: Great little car, and I LOVE it! Would have gone for the Grand Touring model if the dealer had had one on clearance.

The perfect combination by Doc on 02/02/2010. Trim: 2010 Mazda Mazda5 Sport, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: The perfect combination of room inside, size outside, fuel economy and fun-to-drive. We are part of a volunteer rescue group and need a roomy and economical vehicle for occasional animal transport. There is enough room in the 5 for two large Vari-Kennel dog carriers and three small-dog kennels with all rear sets folded. Fuel economy ranges from 24-26 mpg in suburban driving to 30-32 at Interstate speeds (manual transmission "Sport" model.) At a negotiated $17,495 there is nothing close to the 5. Disclaimer: We are on our 5th Mazda in a row (Protege, 3, Miata, 6 and now the 5) and love the "zoom-zoom" factor.
Cons: If you have long legs you're not going to feel comfortable in the driver's seat. This is the first vehicle I've ever owned where I've had to drive with the seat racked all the way back. But it's a perfect fit for me right there, at 5' 8". Third row is kids-size only. Very little usable carrying capacity behind the third-row seat. Would have been useful to be able to store supermarket bags upright there. A small well and a few more inches of clearance would be welcome.
Overall review: Mazda continues to impress us with fun-to-drive vehicles that fill a niche not otherwise occupied in North America.

The fab 5 by Alexander on 01/31/2010. Trim: 2010 Mazda Mazda5 Grand Touring, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: Very fun to drive. Good acceleration. The vehicle has a very tight feel with pretty good comfort. The gas mileage has been slightly over 26mpg. Great utility with the sliding doors, under seat storage, and cargo room with the third row down.
Cons: The car is very quiet on smooth surfaces, but you will hear all road imperfections. The car is a little unsettled during high winds. Needs tinted windows.
Overall review: Great overall value. I dont know why Mazda doesn't advertise this vehicle. Its the best value in the Mazda lineup. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody.

ZOOM ZOOM by ATX on 02/03/2010. Trim: 2010 Mazda Mazda5 Grand Touring, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: It's quick and handles great on winding roads & long trips. Had Dealer throw in DVD & tinted windows, great for watching movies, kids enjoy this. Great gas mileage 26mpg on recent trip. Like the extra seats in case you need it. Great for family of 3 or 4.. plenty of room on back with 3rd row seats down.
Cons: No power to pass on a dime on hwy. Wind & road noise is weak. No leg room for 3rd row seats and storage area is small.
Overall review: Excellent minivan for the price....
