Best everyday car ever! by Steve c. on 06/17/2012. Trim: 2010 Porsche Panamera S, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Quality, comfort, luxury & acceleration. Routine long trips average either side of 30 mpg, with the S V-8; around town about 25 mpg. A fun and practical everyday car that gets a lot of admiring looks.
Cons: Once you've bought it, what's not to like?
Overall review: My former car was the MB S550, another great car. But the Panamera has panache that is hard to beat.

Panamera; Thumbs-Up by Paul on 09/28/2011. Trim: 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S, Owned 1 year.
Pros: This car was a replacement for a 993C2S and it exceeds the performance of the coupe. It combines performance on demand with luxury all the time. The gas mileage (oxymoron in a 4,000lb car) is phenominal with up to 32 mpg on the open road and 27 mpg normally. For a car that does 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds (measured) and 176 mph (unmeasured) this is an amazing combination. The interior is outstanding and comfortable with switches to activate everything necessary to maintain the comfort. The braking is unbelieveaable and actually causes some concern because tailgaters will become attached to the rearend in heavy traffic..
Cons: Would have picked a darker interior because the current light color requires cleaning to avoid looking shoddy. Other than that, nothing comes to mind.
Overall review: This car leaves little to be desired, at least for this writer. It combines performance with elegance and economy and certainly attracts attention. I've had more thumbs-up signals from other drivers and pedestrians than any car I've owned which adds to the luster of owning this one.

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE! by L84MYTTYME on 09/21/2010. Trim: 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Interior is very well appointed and luxurious. Great touch screen Nav. Sound system is very good. Acceleration and handling is all Porsche fantastic. Plenty of space. 4 large adults could fit very easily.
Cons: Options are costly. But that is Porsche
Overall review: A real head-turner!! I get a ton of compliments on this car. When I am passing folks I read a lot of lips saying "NICE CAR!" I thoroughly happy with my purchase. I really wanted a 911 but as a daily driver it is very low and not as smooth a ride. This car is great for the 40+ crowd that wants a little of both the sporty and luxury worlds. If only it was a convertible I would have hit the grand slam!

Panamera a nice choice by Houston on 09/13/2010. Trim: 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Handles well, beautiful lines, nice cargo space in back with the fold down seats. I'm getting 25 mpg and feel safe with her size.
Cons: I dislike that there is no mechanical oil guage and the electronic guage can only be viewed when the hood is down and the engine warm. A bit noisier than expected, would like tint on windows, Nav module overall very good except for POI section.
Overall review: I'm enjoying the car very much. She's a real showstopper. She seats 4 adults comfortably and is as practical as a sportscar can be- I like having my cake and eating it, too.

A "plus size" 911: the perfect American sedan! by hgeorgek on 05/26/2010. Trim: 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Literally everything; especially inside, and all that occurs after ignition. The looks grow on you because you soon realize each and every exterior facet is there for a reason. In answer to critiques of the looks, try this; go on the neat MSN feature comparing photos of your 2 car selections: every feature inside and out; put in the Audi, the Mercedes, BMW, Lexis side by side Panamera, especially interior shots (shots of new XJ, which would do better than most, not yet available); try to tell the others apart from side views; or the Lexis from the BMW rear at a glance; or the interiors from each car's 1999 versions of same (or for some: 1989 versions!). Its an amazingly revealing exercise!
Cons: "Does my rear end look big to you?" Are there some poor sight lines? If the "cure" means changing a single dynamic of this machine, then don't do it. I can carry two 6'3" passengers in the rear, or two bikes with the seats folded, get 0 to 60 in 4.5, without a gas guzzler tax and its an ultra low emissions vehicle like your Honda civic. Oh, and it turns real good. There is NOTHING to dislike about this vehicle! Yes I am biased, because I selected it out of all the cars in the world and feel completely gratified (OK: I did not cross shop Veyron, RR, etc. -- but new Jag XJ did come close: not "very" -- but close).
Overall review: First time Porsche buyer: ecstatically happy with my 4s and am surprised at purists who deride the look: it "purely" wraps the car's epic achievements, isn't that the essence of Porsche? Its presence on the street gives off a positive aura; people give it a thumbs up: I'm amazed at the positive comments even from gracious drivers of prime competing cars. On top of that it's light weight, incredibly fast for (relatively) modest horsepower yet gets no fuel guzzler tax and is an ultra low emissions vehicle. Plus, the purists wouldn’t even have their "pure" cars without the profit generated by the likes of these; and now Panamera is the best selling model! (Why slap someone who saved your loved one from drowning?) I grow more fond of it each day and sneak out to look at it often; it has a "1940's" sensibility to the side and rear view which is unique. It will be around for a while just because the machine is magnificent in every possible way; purists please get used to it.
