Pros: This is the second FJ I've had turning in the first after 3 and a half years and 95K to the dealer. In all that time I only had to do basic maintenance. Even the brakes were original equipment when I turned it in. This truck is a BEAST when it comes to snow. I have never owned a vehicle that has better traction and stability (I've owned Ford, Chevy, and Jeep trucks and SUV's in the past). The traction control and alarm make it a dream even on the iciest roads.
Cons: The 2010 seems to be geared differently than the 2007. When hitting the gas to get up to speed or pass, the engine seems to rev so high (with less power) that I would almost rather it be manual shift. The infamous blind spot is easily handled by Toyota's addition of a rear view camera, and my addition of fish-eyes on the side mirrors.
Overall review: This truck is a dream come true for someone who drives high mileage in seasonal inclement weather. I have always owned the TRD editions, so other FJ owners seem to flock to me to discuss the truck. I have never met another owner who didn't absolutely LOVE this truck. People who pass in other FJ's seem to have adopted a sideways "V" or "peace" sign to make an "F" and greet each other. Join the club!

Love it by Boston FJC on 03/20/2013. Trim: 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4X4 MT, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Pick up is much better than I'm used to. I've had the car 2 months and I'm sure I avoided an accident because I was able to speed up and swerv out of the way so quickly. It's fun for me to drive. It feels cool and tough. It's more car than I need but I wanted something fun. Everything else I test drove , including the Prius persona, just felt so generic like I was driving some no personality rental car.
Cons: I didn't realize that my little old 2000 Honda CRV had unusually good visibility. It's hard to get used to the reduction in visibility. I was also surprised that I now need to be aware of garage height restrictions. I know there are taller cars than mine--Hummers, etc so I'm surprised limits are low. About 50% of the time I can clear 6'6" that's my limit. I live in Boston and have pulled up to garages with 6' limits. I know sooner or later I'll pull up to a garage with a low limit and a line of cars behind me and I'll have to ask everyone to back up- embarrassing. It's also a pretty wide car so I expect I'll get dinged at some point.Lowering the visor bumps the rear view mirror out of place.
Overall review: Love it and always look forward to driving it.

The Bully by Roberta Johnston on 05/21/2012. Trim: 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4X4 AT, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros: mostly everything is good on this vehicle i love the look of ot just quirky enough . the look i feel safer in my fj . I love this vehicle I got it for my birthday in 2007 when they came out. from the first time I saw it I wanted it.
Cons: the driver side arm rest is too low. the blind spot on the drivers side is bad I about have to pull around the corner to see in both directions before making my turns.
Overall review: My FJ is a great vehicle especially where I live in ny we get alot of snow. and the FJ just goes right through it.

Best SUV ever (in my opinion at least). by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/04/2011. Trim: 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4X4 AT, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: This is a truck that thinks it is a speed racer. Agile and accelerates well. Handles extremely well and fun to drive.
Cons: Blind spots on both sides are compensated by a rear view camera. High center of gravity, though, makes it a bit unstable. But I do not care a lot about speed, so I am fine with it. As an off road vehicle it is exellent.
Overall review: Love it to death. Best truck I've ever owned. Can not drive anything else. If you decide to buy one, get 4 weel drive, even in Texas, you will not regret this.
