groovie big little truck. by Nitrodude6 on 10/11/2013. Trim: 2010 Dodge Nitro SXT 4X2 [Discontinued], Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Good strong acceleration, lots of power and enjoy the ride on long runs.
Cons: The blind spot. Had to make adjustments with the mirror especially on the left.
Overall review: Whatever adjustments can be made regarding the engine to get more mileage, go for it. But if it's not in your budget, just drive it at highway speed, keep it maintained, and stick to the basics.

Gramma Toy by Loves to drive on 09/10/2011. Trim: 2010 Dodge Nitro SXT 4X4 [Discontinued], Owned 1 year.

Pros: Handles well in the snow and rain had no problems with handling on interstate or back roads during the winter. Comfortable ride on trips. Plenty of cargo space and tie downs. Highway mileage on last 2 trips 24.6 around town 20.3 higher than rated but I don't exceed 65 unless passing. Seat adjustment (electric) is easy to adjust between drivers don't need pillows to get right seat elevation. Dash is easy to read on wheel adjustments are easy to use.
Cons: The only thing I dislike is the blind spot seems bigger than my other vehicle, have somewhat solved problem by adjusting side mirror to look way out and being very careful when changing lanes to the left.
Overall review: Nice vehicle for the money shopped around for almost a year before I found this. Drove husband crazy checking out different 4X4 trucks and suvs. Tows my camper just fine plenty of room for packing, us and our puppa. Travel 70 miles a day back an forth to work never feel intimidated by tractortrailers as I am up higher and visiblitiy is very good.

The little Truck That Could ! by Tommy S. on 02/11/2010. Trim: 2010 Dodge Nitro SXT 4X4 [Discontinued], Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I like the fact that this is a true mid-size and not a compact ! Tight interior and exterior. High quality materials inside and out. Good legroom, comfy seats. Ride and handling is truck like but solid and stiff. Good pulling power. 210 HP is 210 HP !!
Cons: Not as fast as other v-6 engines but it's made for torque not speed. Torque is higher than HP ! Gas milage could be a bit better.
Overall review: This is a good truck style mid size suv ! If you are looking for a svelte ride that's agile don't come here ! If you want a rugged truck with good torque and pulling power, that also blasts through snow, slush and mud, this is your ticket ! Ride is stiff and tight with a rugged truck like feel ! This is still faster than a 4 cyl and is meant for power not speed. It's no slug however and goes from 0 to 60 in about 8 sec. I like it !

Solid if not awesome by Grand Rapids, Michigan on 06/07/2011. Trim: 2010 Dodge Nitro SE 4X4 [Discontinued], Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Appearance, ability to go through the snow, roominess, ground clearance. Pretty quiet on the highway too!
Cons: Gas mileage (17-18 average. 19-20 on Highway). Ride is a bit stiff but it came "Trail Ready", for off-road driving.
Overall review: Nice car, wife likes it a lot. Does well in the snow, solid if not spectacular acceleration. We have the 3.7L engine and I'm not sure why they didn't hook it up to a 5 speed automatic transmission, which would have helped with gas mileage. We get a lot of compliments on the appearance and it certainly seems capable of going off-road.
