2010 Jeep Liberty Sport - a reasonble priced tough little guy :)
by Ponch on 01/13/2012.
Trim: 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport 4X4, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
Appearance: Great body lines & paint choices, well placed windows.
Structure: Reinforced uniframe strong durable body panels, doors, hood and hatch
Suspension: Resilent - carried about 3/4 max capacity very little sagging or sloppy handling
Engine: 20K on the clock, reliable, runs smooth and quiet, inexpensive sparkplugs runs on reg gas.Sufficent power
Transmission: Shifts smoothly and nice overdrive gear for quiet long hwy cruising - cruse control works awesome.
Ride: Offroad capable, runs very smooth on the road, turn on/off tract cntrl, h.d.c and anti Lck brakes, tow rating :)
Cost: Reasonible - rebates available
Aftermarket: good aftermarket following plenty of options, clubs etc.
Cons:
Engine: More options i.e.(4.7L v-8, 3.0 Diesel) current 6 would better if it was dohc and vvt with cylinder Deactvatio. 17 mpg average.
Trans: More gears 5-6 instead of 4 fwd gears with a lower 1st gear ratio.
Axles: Lower 4.10 instead of 3.73 converting them to limited slip instead of a standard differential.
Suspension: 3-5 more inches of ground clearance longer shocks and stiffer springs
Tires - They are ok in sand and snow and still have 3/4 life on them, but in the rain the slip and hydroplane.
Needs 400 Watt DC converter since Jeep customers like to go out of bounds a little more than the average consumer.
Overall review:
Everyday I drive it I enjoy it much more. I receive a lot of positive comments on it because of the paint and body lines. The headlights by themselves give out plenty of light and when turning on the fog lights there is very little you don't see. When loaded it up and driving off-road there are no issues on the beach, flooded roads, snow etc. You feel very safe on it because of the amount metal protecting you. The mpg is about the same as other suvs sharing it weight and tow ability excluding diesels. The aftermarket possibilites are pretty good if you wish to make any enhancements or customizations. I hope Jeep maintains makingthe Lib a very solid off-road worthy and good looking vehicle with some extra available options as stated above in the future.

Pros:
This is a sharp vehicle...I compared it to the Dodge Nitro yet when it came down to perks this has it all! Sky Roof Slider is fun and from previously having a convertible I am not missing much. Very roomy both passenger and hauling wise. Very much improved over the years with design and style.
Cons:
None
Overall review:
Would recommend this!

A true American made compact solid SUV.
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/14/2012.
Trim: 2010 Jeep Liberty Limited 4X4, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Front seat very comfortable, like sitting in a leather upright reclining chair. Excellant head room for a 6 footer. Excellant visability all around. Red exterior color and black leather interior with pewter trim rich looking. Practical size for a SUV used in city rural driving.
Radio speakers are awesome. Easy controls. A true rugged SUV not a converted car with AWD. Made in USA.
Cons:
Wish transmission had additional gear (sixth) for smoother operation and possibly better mileage.
Overall review:
A comfortable strong truck like practical SUV

I like my Jeep
by Old guy in Wisconsin on 10/12/2012.
Trim: 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport 4X4, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
5000 lbs tow rating, 4x4, tinted glass, it's been very reliable, handles well(don't know why some "expert" reviewers think the handling is sluggish)
Cons:
gas mileage is low 18 city, 21 highway, I wish the spare was inside the vehicle like my 2000 Grand Cherokee.
Overall review:
I'd buy this car again. I've had it for 2 years, put 44k miles on it commuting every day 45 miles round trip. While I wish it got better mileage, it's done everything I have expected it to do, including towing up to 4000 lbs. There have been two recalls which cost me $0, beyond that it has been without problem.
