Peformance on the brain...mostly. by Stavesacre21 from Lima, OH on 12/13/2009. Trim: 2010 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 Sport 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Power to burn, Turbo, Excellent brakes, Fantastic handling, Excellent price-to-performance ratio, Decent interior, Functional hood scoop, Reasonable gas mileage, Practical (4 doors with a hatch), Boost gauge, Best BOSE car audio system i've heard yet
Cons: Torque-steer on bumpy roads, Mysterious shifter "thunking", Seats grow tiresome on trips, Sport model only - No GT (HID/Sunroof/Heated Seats) option, Few creaks/rattles already, Comes with summer tires only (NOT acceptable in the snow), Instant Fuel Economy computer is always -2 MPG off, NO TEMPERATURE GAUGE???
Overall review: After 3K miles, the Mazdaspeed3 is everything i've expected it to be. It has a few quarks that are easily overlooked (#1 being the grinning front fascia) after driving it day in and day out. It always has power to burn in any gear, including 5th and 6th gear highway passes. Although no GT package was offered in 2010 (???), the sport model offers only 1 option (tech package) which loads it up with navigation and a few other odds and ends. Oddly enough, HID headlights and a sunroof are NOT offered with the 2010 MS3. Ride is firm, but not punishing. Cornering is excellent, although you never forget that its a FWD car. Power is limited in 1st through 3rd gear in attempt to limit the torque-steer, and it does a decent job. All-season/Winter tires are a MUST in snow climates. A boost gauge has finally been added but oddly enough, no temperature gauge is found. All said, the MS3 is a great little runaround that should quench even the biggest thirst for power on a reasonable budget.

A Car with Bollocks by Ricko larse on 12/19/2011. Trim: 2010 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 Sport 5-Door, Owned 1 year.
Pros: The car is for drivers! An entertaining car with real character. One day it could have you feeling the true nature of a road under any conditions and the next you could be cleaning the sharts from your underwear. The mixed opinions of the front end (smiley) overshadow the fact that this a very well designed car.. the side angle view makes it nothing less than a racer and the back end is curved to be noticable as it accelerates away from objects (which this car is going to do). The power is nothing short of monsterous.. 280 lbs of tourqe is all you will need to know if considering this car. 280! Handling is where the Driver really comes in... dont buy this as a first car! u need more man seeds
Cons: Many Knock the interior.. i would to if i cared... but its very easily cleaned and the way i feel is that if some is kept clean its a nice place to be. This car is not for passangers unless they are drivers.. if i have to drive it slow i drive it badly.. the only way i can drive this car well is FAST. The brakes could be better... but only because they are used to slow this mini-mammoth down. Other than that its a car that can easily grow a reputation when described using only fould language... and thats not for the faint hearted.
Overall review: Overall this car is a starpped on pair of bollocks.

MS3 will surprise you. by Eric from Seattle on 01/28/2011. Trim: 2010 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 Sport 5-Door, Owned 1 year.
Pros: The MS3 is a very exciting car to drive. Some might be put off by the looks, but, one thing is for sure, it is unique! This car is very powerful. I was shocked when I test drove it. Several car magazines complain about the torque steer, but you get used to it. The suspension and handling on the MS3 are out of this world. Best handling car I have ever owned. Interior is very nice and quality is high. Seats are supportive, and there is plenty of room for the kids. If you test drive one, you will fall in love!
Cons: This car is about performance, so, the ride is stiff and a little rough, but, I prefer performance over comfort anyday. Can't get full leather seats on the Mazdaspeed 3, which doesn't make sense. Also, can not get HID headlights or LED taillights (only on Grand Touring). Brake dust is ridiculous on the front wheels. I can't wait to change out the pads. Lots of black soot from exhaust gets left on the rear hatch. Car is tuned to run rich, so I guess that's the price we pay. HP drops off at 5500 RPM. And my #1 complaint is the ridiculous, wuss sounding horn. Who ever made that decision should be FIRED!
Overall review: I am very pleased with this car. I commute 30 miles each way to work. I enjoy every minute behind the wheel. This car is about performance, and Mazda did a very good job. The motor in this car is ridiculously strong. The HP and torque throw you back in your seat. There is instant power from the turbocharger, and the power is there whenever you want it. The 6 speed shifts very smooth and has a sort throw. All in all, a very enjoyable and exciting car. I am 100% satisfied with it.

No better value for the dollar! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/18/2010. Trim: 2010 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 Sport 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Style, performance, handling, Tech Package features, interior quality
Cons: HID's and LED Taillights weren't available for 2010.
Overall review: Impossible to say enough good things in the space limitations provided. Having owned a significant number of cars over the past 8 years (due to quality issues, etc), the MS3 was a huge step up from all previous vehicles. The interior trim and exterior appearance will appeal to some, but not to others. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The quality of assembly, inside and out, and performance is not matched overall in this price range when looking at the competition (e.g. GTI, Lancer Ralliart). The Bose audio system is more than adequate, but won't be mistaken with an aftermarket setup. The navigation offers enough amenities and good response times to get you to your destination with fewer issues than some of 2009's better navigation units. It's an absolute thrill to go full-bore and really push the car. Zoom-zoom!

Best Pocket Rocket! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/29/2010. Trim: 2010 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 Sport 5-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: - Absolute blast to drive! compact, Very Powerful, yet economical..! - One of the best cheap pocket rockets available in the market. - Turbo is just awesome! it kicks very hard - Even the stock Audio is good - Ample head, leg and shoulder room, storage and cargo - Bluetooth Audio, A2DP - I can play and control songs from my cell phone wirelessly now yay! - Catches lot of attention
Cons: - Not a big fan of red and black interior..but love the idea of mixed cloth and leather seat - Clutch engages just an inch before complete release so you need to master to get a jerk free ride.....Civic Si has one of the best clutch -
Overall review: Excellent bang for the buck...!
