Untimely brakes
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/25/2011.
Trim: 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 quattro Premium, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
Rides like a car; handle swell; great safety features
Cons:
had to replace brakes after 24,000 miles; did not have to do so on my A6
Overall review:
Good little SUV; disappointed the braking system had limitations in longevity.

The best crossover of the pack.
by Akita from East Longmeadow, MA on 05/17/2010.
Trim: 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 quattro Premium, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Handling and performance are superb for a vehicle of this size and height.
Cons:
A glaring omission is the absence of headlight washers. Perhaps some bean counter convinced Audi they could save "millions" by eliminating this feature. A vehicle purported to have some "off road" capability should be able to wash the mud from its headlights!!!
The SLine Q5 does have headlight washers but to date I have not heard of any in the country.
Failure of the control modules for the very distinctive DRL's has been a problem.
Overall review:
Probably the best, most comfortable for long distance trips; car I have owned to date.
The diesel Q5 should be available in this country not just Europe!!!

Thirsty little SUV
by Vinny in Monteal on 01/20/2010.
Trim: 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 quattro Premium, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Wicked ride, handles great, unbelievably good in a blizzard. Interior is gorgeous, stock 20 inch mags (S-Line) give this car a mean look. Piece of mind that my family is safe when we are on the road.
Cons:
Dash options a little labour intensive, push this to get to that, push that to get back etc... Could be simpler. GAS PIG. Always over $4 a gallon in Canada, and this thing is always thirsty. Backglass imploded one day from closing the driver side door.
Overall review:
Love it, not too flashy, definitely not dull, but was naive in thinking that the smaller size with a 3.2 would be reasonably good on gas.

I have had this car for one week and love it. Best SUV I have driven. I test drove the FX35, Volvo XC60, X5, Cayenne. Hands down the best overall package.
Cons:
Steering is a little heavy around the turns.
Overall review:
Excellent

The Best of its Class
by Stephen, from La Mirada, CA on 06/27/2009.
Trim: 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 quattro Premium, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I enjoyed driving this vehicle from the moment I got into it. It fit like a glove. The driving position was comfortable and fiting. It was not too loose like a bus and I didn't have to strap myself into it like a race car. The accessories and features that one would expect in a vehicle of this class and price were all there and accessible and easily visibly comprehendable. The acceleration, braking, cornering and response were all exceptional for a vehicle of its class. The ESP worked seamlessly with non-intrusive and little feeling of its intervention.
Cons:
I truly could not find anything I didn't like about the Q5 and nothing relating to my experience as a driver other than I wish there was a DVD Entertainment Center available in the headrests in the rear for my child as a factory option.
Overall review:
Quality was exceptional. I have dirven all of the cars in this class and also own a Lexus RX400ih (my wife's favorite) and believe this vehicle is the best in this class.
