The Best Automobile I Have Ever Owned! by Fusion Hybrid Fan_Plattsburgh on 11/11/2012. Trim: 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedan, Owned 3 years.

Pros: Great looking car inside and out, the gas mileage is outstanding. I really enjoy pushing the around town mileage to over 50 MPG! I have no trouble getting 40 MPG on the highway. This car has the power of a V6, so don't be fooled that it is a hybrid.
Cons: Nothing
Overall review: I have owned my 2010 Fusion Hybrid for 3 years. I have 78,00 miles on it now and I can honestly say that the American public needs to start taking a look at Quality American made automobiles, like the Ford Fusion Hybrid. As long as Ford continues to build these EXCELLENT cars, I will never buy another Japanese or foreign made car. This car is above and beyond what I expected from a hybrid sedan. I am currently averaging 42 MPG OVERALL. The overall gas mileage is important to emphasize, because so many companies report their highway mileage, but they don't mention the combined mileage. The two are very different. My next car will be a plug-in version of the Fusion Hybrid. I will have to wait a few more years until I get to 200,000 miles on my 2010 Fusion Hybrid.

BEST HYBRID for a family by Lou The Beagler on 08/22/2011. Trim: 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros: This was the very first Ford product that I bought new. I love this hybrid because of the oil changes once a yr or 10,000 miles, 6 yrs or 100,000 miles on the coolant, the battery is 8yrs or 100, 000 miles, there is no air filter to change except for the cabin filter. The mileage is fantastic, I have had this car for 15 months have 14,285 on it & average 34 MPG. I traded a Hyundai Azera ( 2007 ) on it & have never looked back. Ford has a winner is the Fusion Hybrid, one thing that is missed on many reviews is the combined HP which is 191, it has a lot of POP. I used to fill my Azera every week, with this car it's every 2 & a half to 3 weeks. You fill it up & it tells you miles to empty .
Cons: only 2 items, this car is the heaviest hybrid out there at 3720 pounds, that places it in MD over the 3700 pound limit & places the owner in a higher tag bracket. The second this that I don't like is the outside mirrors don't fold. Other than that I love this car.
Overall review: I would most certainly reccomend the Fusion Hybrid to anyone who is thinking Green in a car who wants the best of our world. This car has more options than any other Hybrid made for the price.

Poor gas milage! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/12/2011. Trim: 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedan, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros: Very comfortable, nice looking. Peppy when using the gas motor
Cons: It's very hard to get it to stay running on the battery power with out being a turtle! (and I'm not a lead foot) Any small hill kicks you out of battery power or you lose speed, so you can't stay on battery power up to 47 mph. Ford service is good for some things, but apparently they not knowledgable about their power train.
Overall review: After 4,000 miles in 6 months, my mpg dropped from about 40 mpg to 28 mpg with the same driving habits. The mpg needle would fluctuate up and down constantly while on the straight and level! Took it into Ford and they said there was nothing they could do because there were no trouble codes. So much for old fashioned trouble shooting. Typical of Ford. They told me to use better gas, although I was using the same gas as always. The manual says not to use fuel additives, but I put in some Techron fuel injector cleaner and after half a tank my mileage improved. Now a month later, I am averaging 34 mpg. Still nowwhere close to the 37 to 40+ they advertise. I am very disapointed with Ford, I think I will trade it in on a Leaf because of Fords lack of knowledge! I would not buy again!

FFH=Fantastically Fun Hybrid by Hawk from KY on 01/18/2011. Trim: 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros: This car is amazing. I have not been disappointed. Ultra quiet, dead silent when in EV mode, and still very quiet when the engine is running. The transition from EV to engine running is so smooth that unless you have the radio and the heat/air off, you will never notice. Power is on tap at all times. Even from EV mode you can gun it and you have instant power even with the engine needing to start. No problem passing at any speed. Sirius is great. Seat are very comfortable all day long. My car has everything except the built in NAV, my personal preference too. No disappointments with this car. In the summer 42-45mpg, in the winter, 36-40mpg...mileage does drop in the cold.
Cons: Seriously, no gripes other than mileage dropping in the cold, but I expected that as I had researched this car so much. The no gas cap is nice and the back up camera would be very hard to ever give up after having it. If you just drive this car normal and completely ignore the instrument cluster to engage you and improve your mileage you will get around 33-35 mpg. But with very little driving adjustments it is not hard at all to keep this car over 40 mpg except in very cold weather. I am not talking about hypermilling here. Just a few basic techniques like putting the screen on "empower" and learning how to best drive the car. I truly enjoy seeing 680 miles to empty on the screen.
Overall review: 680 miles to empty is the most I have ever seen. Usually it is closer to 640...it just depends on your driving habits. Anyone looking for a mid sized car should consider this car. Notice I did not say hybrid. This car should satisfy anyone in the mid size car market unless you have unrealistic expectations to begin with. Also the maintenance on this car is practically nonexistent. Seriously, there is nothing to do to this car until you reach 100k then you simply change the plugs and anti-freeze. You don't even change the air filter! Read the manual if you don't beleive me. Amazing is the best word to describe this car. Very engaging and entertaining to drive. I have fun everytime I drive it. Ford has a hit on its hands. Well done Ford!
