Pros:
it is a sharp looking car that handles as well as it looks. pure performance. the way a car should feel, drive, respond, and provide feedback. gas mileage, insurance is cheap.
Cons:
interior room. luggage space but then this was not built to haul stuff but you can go grocery shopping but not to Costco. maintenance is relatively high unless you do it yourself.
Overall review:
A true sports car.....once you drive it you will love it ........a must have if you have the $$$

High Intensity Compact

Trim: 2009 Lotus Elise Convertible, Owned 4 years.
Useful?
Pros:
It's fast, fun and turns a lot of heads because of the unique Lotus shape and sub-compact size. I have literally had people hang out car windows on the highway to wave at me and take pictures of the car, and it's always fun watching people walk up to it and try to figure out what it is...been mistaken for everything from a Porsche to a Ferrari. lol
The soft top on mine is so easily removed, I can do it sitting at a light from inside the car. Nice feature if you live in an unpredictably sunny climate like central Florida!
DO buy this car if you like the speed and handling of a true race car, the reliability of a Toyota and lots of attention.
Cons:
DO NOT buy this car if you have kids, move frequently or as your only transportation to the golf course...it has about 2 cubic feet of truck space, and yes, I have travelled some in mine taking only a duffle bag with "bare essentials." Also, don't expect much from the interior...even the cup holders are removed to save space and weight, and if you are taller than 6'0" or have big feet, the larger Evora may be a better choice.
Overall review:
The Elise is like a 200hp go cart with supercar status style. It is almost a class of it's own with plenty power, small frame and superlight weight and more reliable than similar sport style track ready vehicles...Lotus Elise or Exige is a great vehicle for the track enthusiast. After driving a Lotus, no other vehicle feels the same again.
