2009 Outlander ES by Here In California on 11/16/2009. Trim: 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander ES 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Very comfortable front seats, reasonable fuel economy, and the ride is much more comfortable than anticipated. The "split" tailgate is unique and works well for transporting materials. The CVT transmission takes some getting used to if you've never driven a vehcile with one prior, but it functions well. Multiple storage areas in and around the dash are well thought out.
Cons: Fit and finish (mostly fit) could be improved. Dash and door panel materials are not dirt and dust friendly; touch it and there's a "smudge".
Overall review: Decent vehicle so far...no negatives to report.

Best SUV for the Value. by James on 11/12/2009. Trim: 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander ES 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: We have enjoyed the Outlander since the day we bought it in May this year. We have had zero issues with the SUV at all. We love how the drives and handles. Towing has not been an issue at all. The Mileage we get is always in the range of 28- 31 mpg since we do a lot of highway driving daily. The styling of the Outlander to us is one of the best we have seen so far for a vehicle in its price range. Even some of the Higher end Suv's don't compare in looks and styling. I would definitely recommend the Outlander to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stylish and economical SUV on the market today.
Cons: The one issues I have with the Outlander is on the base model is no Bluetooth. They went to the trouble to wire and add the buttons to the steering wheel but you have to buy separately. I priced the add-on at $350 to $400 to have installed. The headlight system is a bit quirky until you get used to it. The headlights are on all the time when the vehicle is running but the kicker is so are the instrument lights (speedometer, gauges, etc). Not the dash lights (radio, center column lights) just the instrument panel lights. So at night you may not notice right away that you have not lights on, meaning no tail lights until you get used to the car. Here is where an auto-on option would be nice.
Overall review: Overall we are very happy with our Outlander and definitely recommend the vehicle to purchase. We would buy one again in a heartbeat but would have a couple of features added at the time of purchase.

Amazing! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/19/2009. Trim: 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander ES 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The tailgate is one of the coolest things about this car. Loading groceries, or anything for that matter is so much easier and simpler. The best part is that you can set the car to automatically switch to four wheel drive! Optional third-row seating is cool (although I didn't opt for the 3rd row)
Overall review: I always look forward to driving to work with this car. Having additional radio controls right on the steering wheel, the 4 glove boxes, and 3 cigarette lighters is amazing, especially for the price. We test drove a Ford Escape, and it did not compare (even the $30,000 version we test drove). Much better bang for your buck with the Mitsubishi. This was our first Mitsubishi and when it's time to trade-in my Toyota, Mitsubishi will be our first choice.

This is the real thing! by Sanford, Florida on 04/07/2009. Trim: 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 2WD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I enjoy the looks of the vehicle, very sporty and perfect size for all overdriving. My gas mileage with the 6 cylinder engine averages in city at 23+ and on the road around 26. The car handles well and the second row of sitting is tremendously comfortable and works well for sitting full size adults. I recommend this vehicle without reservation.
Cons: The wind noise on the drivers window on the highway can be annoying. However, the price ration of all you get with this vehicle versus others in its class, and the value Mitsubishi has put into this vehicle definitely makes the wind noise sound like dollars saved - chacheng - rather than being that annoying. I am telling you dollar for dollar nothing comes close to this vehicle.
Overall review: Over all, comparing dollar for dollar with other competitors, there is no compariion between the Outlander by Mitsubishi and any other small SUV. I test drove it on a lark and bought it 2 days later.
