The Dynamic 5 Series by Joe from Long Island on 08/27/2009. Trim: 2009 BMW 528xi, Owned 1 year.
Pros: extremely smooth acceleration; plush, comfortable seats, as opposed to firm in the 2008 Infiniti G35xS; easily seats 2 adults in the back comfortably (86-year-old grandfather can enter and exit the back seat easily and sits for 30+ mile trips without complaint); plenty of space in the trunk; beautiful styling; handles tightly and steers effortlessly; all-wheel-drive system worth the extra money especially in New York and other northern states in the winter
Cons: Handling not as tight and acceleration not as fast as 2008 Infiniti G35xS, but the G is a sports sedan whereas this is a luxury sedan. Middle seat could be better designed to fit a 5th adult, but the same goes for all mid- and many full-sized vehicles today.
Overall review: Overall a great value for the money. A solid performer, well-engineered and a great luxury sedan with a taste of sport. The 5 is definitely for you if you're looking for a more of a luxury german sedan thats more reliable than a Mercedes E Class, has a better-known name than an Audi A6 (which is important when one is spending 50+ thousand dollars), but if you're looking for more of a sport sedan, go for the 328xi or, for a better interior fit-and-finish vehicle with much more standard power and sportiness, all for a better value, the Infiniti G35 would be the best choice. Overall: A++

The Road Trip Dream Machine by Pete from Arizona on 12/30/2008. Trim: 2009 BMW 528i, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The 2009 528i is a dream. My wife and I had the pleasure of driving this car on the Autobahn in Germany and it's a pure pleasure. Road trips to Paris, Oktoberfest in Munchen and a weekend in Belgium were drives to look forward to. The multi-contour sport seats are a must, we have the Sports package as well as every other option minus the HUD and Night Vision. Handling and acceleration are magnificent as well as the other creature comforts in the cabin. The IPOD dock is convenient and easy to control and the re-vamped I-Drive is really easy to use. Those who knock the I-Drive must not have much dexterity or can not walk and chew bubble gum at once. Comfort access is a must have option.
Cons: An automatic trunk open/close function would add to the luxurious feel of this vehicle. Other than that, it's pretty hard to find faults with this iconic driving machine.
Overall review: Would highly reccomend this vehicle to anyone who appreciates a luxury sedan yet loves to be the one in control of the drive. We got the jump on everyone else when we ordered our '09 BMW at the end of '08. When you step on the pedal, the power is there yet most importantly, the control and handling comes with it to keep you cemented to the pavement as you're whipping around an autobahn turn at 120mph. The pleasure does come with a price tag however. I got a military discount but still payed apprx. $56K and it would only cost more in the States. I figured it was a great gift to myself and wife after a combat tour in Afghanistan.

Do not buy this car by Rob on 06/16/2010. Trim: 2009 BMW 535i, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Performance, comfort
Cons: Read my review of the 2008 model. Same thing. Affected by fuel delivery issues.
Overall review: Read my 2008 review of the 535i. Fuel delivery issues. Do not buy this car. Read the blogs regarding N54 issues that affect all BMW's ending in "35".

Nice Car! by Sye! on 05/25/2010. Trim: 2009 BMW 528i, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Love it's handle and acceleration. The maintenance free program is great and will make me stay with BMW for future purchases
Cons: This is a great car but Lexus does luxury much better. It has a cold feeling to it. My previous Lexus GS had more amenities for less money and a quieter more comfortable ride.
Overall review: If you want an excellent driving experience this is a driving machine.

HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMPS FAILS - NO FIX by sam - las vegas on 02/28/2010. Trim: 2009 BMW 535xi, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Performance! Super attractive
Cons: Quality, too many blind sides.
Overall review: The 535, 335, and 135 (any BMW with 3.0 liter engine) has a major flaw. THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILS. I own a 2009 535xi (MSRP $65K), the high-pressure fuel pump failed at 10K miles with my wife driving on the freeway. Yes it's under warrenty, but they can not guarantee that it will not happen again. BMW is aware of this major flaw, but continue to sell the car to their customers (since 2008). Do the research and discover for yourself. Avoid this car. Go to NHTSA web site and review complaints about this car.
