Refined Near Luxury by WELandGood from Washington, DC on 07/16/2010. Trim: 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited, Owned 1 year.
Pros: This is a large and very comfortable car that is very good for a vehicle in its class. The ride tends to be soft, like a big sedan, but the car handles well. The seats are comfortable with very good back and leg support. It is not designed to be a sports sedan or to handle like one. But on long trips, it can carry five adults without causing stress or fatigue. It has ample trunk space and many nice features, such as a very good sound system and advanced navigation features. For a big car with a six-cylinder engine, it gets fairly good gas mileage - 18-20 mpg in the city and 26-28 on the highway.
Cons: Not much to dislike. The exterior styling could use an update and there should be more choices in exterior colors.
Overall review: This is a fine, large family car that has many features of a luxury vehicle.

"Better Than The Rest" by Harold R. Mesa, Arizona on 06/29/2009. Trim: 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Comfort, Quietness, Smooth ride, excellent gas milage, providing you keep your foot out of it! 25.0 in town. Quality of workmanship. Far superior to Cadillac in every way especially price.
Cons: haven't found anything, yet!
Overall review: Before purchasing I investigted, physically inspected and drove the following. Cad STS, DTS. Audi A-6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes Benz C and E Series. All have positive and negative qualities. Cadillac places way to much value for their car. All the European vehicles demand Premium Fuel, all are far superior in craftmanship and quality added features to Cad. The Avelon is on the same platform as the Lexus GS-350/GS/450, with refined ride. Overall quality is the same without the attitude. Pricing is less than ALL of the comparable vehicles, milage is superior, warrentee is equal in all respects. A sleeper from Toyota!
