My Honda Odyssey by J from Windsor Canada on 02/11/2005. Trim: 1995 Honda Odyssey EX, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Still feels great to drive. No blind spots!
Cons: Cheap interior. Some cracks in the plastic on the door.
Overall review: Have not regretted buying this van

A great economical minivan. by Doug in Seattle on 03/17/2012. Trim: 1995 Honda Odyssey EX, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: The handling of the vehicle is great, we are the original owners and always have had it in the garage so the finish is excellent still. Other than the normal maintenance done we have not had to take this van in! The rear seats are easy to configure unlike the seats in the larger vans!
Cons: It is underpowered but with the price of gas now I don't really mind that!
Overall review: This has overall been a great vehicle to have and own!

I'd buy another by Andy, Orlando on 01/28/2008. Trim: 1995 Honda Odyssey EX, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Bought it at 45,000 in 2000; I'm at 260,000+ miles now with relatively low maintenance-- brakes twice, muffler twice. It's been comfortable and reliable. I drive a lot of 150+ mile trips with several hundred pounds cargo and or 2-3 passengers. I've never given it a tune-up.
Cons: Muffler system is awkward to get to and expensive to repair; oil filter and air filters are hard to reach; plastic supporting arm rests is weak and now broken.
Overall review: One of the best vehicles I've ever owned

Disappointed by Maine Honda Driver on 05/08/2004. Trim: 1995 Honda Odyssey EX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Good gas mileage. Like the rear car-like doors and fold-down rear seat. Very attractive exterior styling.
Cons: Seats are uncomfortable...shallow, hard and unsupportive. Long trips leave me in pain. Drivetrain is noisy and underpowered....not at all as refined as you'd expect. Front door pillars create blind spots and also difficult to see out the side when passing. Transmission shifts are delayed, jerky and erratic. On it's second transmission in 78,000. miles. Gas gauge is faulty. Front suspension horizontal strut bushings loosen regularly causing front-end creaks and clunks and the brakes are noisy. Engine is an interference design and will be essentially destroyed if the timing belt breaks while it is running....bad design! Not good in the snow.
Overall review: Probably better than it's domestic competition, but still trouble prone....and exceedingly expensive to fix. We bought this van used and were told by our mechanic that the transmission was not the original. We were told it has the tell-tale inventory number of a junk yard written in yellow paint pen on the bottom.. Not sure when the original failed, but would think it should have lasted more than the 78,000. miles on the odometer at the time of purchase. We've been told that the replacement is weak and could fail at any time, and that these transmissions are not known for their long life. I guess the filters are not replaceable and they plug up, causing overheating, premature wear and failure. This combined with the fact that the engine is an interference design which will be ruined if the timing belt breaks.. not to mention...my aching back....have made us decide to look for something else.
