Nice machine. by Bipul Saraf on 08/23/2009. Trim: 2009 Audi Q7 TDI quattro Premium, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Everything. Specially the mileage. The engine hasn't broken in and I am getting about 25 MPG. Other day on my trip to work on the Ortega Highway, the odometer read 31.7 MPG. I have been as high 36.7 MPG on my TDI. It is luxirious, well handles the curve and stylish.
Cons: The wood trip on the dash. I was hoping for more choices.
Overall review: Excellant.

Nice, but overpriced and underpowered by Dan from Maui on 02/27/2009. Trim: 2009 Audi Q7 3.6 quattro Premium, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Nice interior - high quality good fit and finish. Very well laid out and thought out. Love the integrated backup camera and the parking system with graphics overlays and proximity detectors. Liked that it had third-row seats, but they are tiny - Good for kids between 6 and 10, would not want to try to put car seats for younger kids back there and anyone bigger won't fit easily.
Cons: V6 is underpowered. Brakes are a bit touchy. Don't love the controls for the electronics - hard to remember the various combinations of clicking, scrolling, turning dials and pushing buttons to get simple things done - pretty inconsistent.
Overall review: I spent 10 days with a 2009 Q7 that I rented from Hertz on Maui last week. The interior was great - very well organized and very high quality with great polish. I found the electronics to be confusing to operate - too many ways to do the same thing and too many clicks, scrolls, dial turns and pushes required. The V6 was underpowered with relatively poor gas mileage (< 15 MPG) and the brakes were quite touchy. Closer to a station wagon than a real SUV. Given the very high list price I'd not put it at the top of my list to purchase.

Best Suv I have driven by Rick from Fresno on 12/28/2008. Trim: 2009 Audi Q7 3.6 quattro Premium, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I actually purchased the Prestige Package V6...and I love it...I test drove everything from Range Rover to Tahoe..I was trading in a 2006 A4 that I loved....I was down to 2 vehicles, the Q and the Lexus GX 470. On paper the Q offers more and is a bigger vehicle with the exception its 6 inches shorter in height. This is probably why the Audi outperforms it in cornering and doesnt have that sluggish soft feel, but the Lexus has more cargo space. The Q's V6 puts out more noticieably more horsepower than Lexus' V8 and the Audi is heavier. Its a disceptively big SUV. Its s[porty but has all the fit and finish of Lexus and Acura. The bells and whistles, technology an gizmo's are incredible.
Cons: I would have liked bigger maybe sportier rims and tires, than the standard 18's on the Prestige Package. Ride leveling would have added a neat feature.
Overall review: Would recommend anyone to find a better, tighter SUV. For all the Japanese luxury buyers, this is a European SUV that you should drive. The Japanese have set the standard for so long, its hard to imagine, that Audi, in my opinion, has knocked off Lexus and Acura in this category and that is not an easy task.
