It gets in your blood
by G from the land of harsh winters, Canada on 11/28/2009.
Trim: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X2, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Confortable & quiet ride, solid built feel, the presence of a satelite radio, spacious, versatile.
Steering was precise, no body roll, vehicle did not "pull" right when the road was tilted.
The timing on the windshield washer pump and wipers is perfect, the wipers start after windshield is sprayed, doing a better cleaning job than other systems.
Decent mileage for it's class, this V-6 delivers decent power for day to day use.
Cons:
My opinion is subjective, but I did not like the way cruise control lever was installed. I always had to look for it, was not where supose to be.
Overall review:
I had this vehicle rented for 1 month, and I used it in rural Arkansas, gravel and black top roads.
It was a pleasent drive, and I can say that a bad road does not affect the confort and handling.
I said "decent power", because this this topic is also highly subjective. Comparing with a Toyota Matrix, this is Lamborghini, but dare to compare it with a Mustang....
Overall, this is solid and comfy SUV, that stays proudly out of the croud of so called SUV's existent on the market. I did like it and I recomend this vehicle for anyone who do not want to "blend in the crowd". It's personality is an asset.

Great SUV, good value!
by Sportyfan from Midwest on 08/16/2009.
Trim: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Styling, overall package, confort, full time 4WD, long list of standard features, respectable fuel economy for a SUV, acceptable performance for a V6
Cons:
No concerns
Overall review:
The Grand Cherokee Laredo comes with a long list of standard features, we chose the Rocky Mountain package which is an excellent value. It has the excellent My-Gig radio, nice machined wheels, a sunroof and heated seates. The 3.7L V6 and 5 speed auto are smooth and give very adequate performance - contrary to some articles I have read, most people really don't need the V-8. Real world fuel economy is quite good for a SUV - 2 to 3 MPG better than EPA ratings. Comfort and package are a perfect compromise between large SUV's and crossovers. We love the Jeep Grand Cherokee!

Versatile machine.
by K-man, Canada on 07/06/2009.
Trim: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
I am Canadian and bought the 2008.5 Diesel Laredo. The Mercedes Diesel is very responsive and I am getting better mileage than most SUVs. The offroad capability is second to none. The premium audio is great, and the touch screen stereo is very nice. Ran it over the winter in -40 degree celcius weather with no problems, started well when plugged in. Wouldnt recommend not plugging it in below -15 degree c. The all wheel drive system is the best on the market, hugs the road on icy highways very well. Virtually same power rating as the hemi 5.7L, a little more torque even, and superior mileage.
Cons:
Drives a little rough over bad pavement. Backseat cramped for taller people. A tad pricey.
Overall review:
Perfect for small families that do a lot of driving. I am getting 600km/80L all city driving. 800 plus km on highway. Diesel runs clean and is better for the enviroment. Awesome stereo, very comfortable.
