2009 Mazda I Touring Tribute by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/18/2009. Trim: 2009 Mazda Tribute i Sport FWD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: upon delivery of the vehicle i noticed the brakes pulsuated at higher speeds. A trip back to the dealer they resolved by replacing the front rotors. Outstanding fuel economy with this four cyl. engine, better than sticker 30 mpg hwy. The ac controls and sound system easy to use. The six speed automatic keeps rpm's low at highway speeds. Good value, i was able to get this vehicle for 18K out the door.
Cons: The glove box is very small and there is no underfloor storage in the rear cargo area. Also the rear seat headreast must be removed to fold seats flat.
Overall review: Good Value Excellent Fuel Economy

A good deal by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/27/2009. Trim: 2009 Mazda Tribute i Grand Touring 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Hwy Fuel Econ (6spd Trans), Flat-Folding rear seats (can put a Queen air mattress in the back for the drive-in), 4WD, interior, leg & head room, visibility, safety features, good bumper covers (oops - backed into a car and bumper cover folded in, but pulled out nicely w/o damage), smooth steering / good radius, Oh.. and NO GAS CAP :)
Cons: Restricted to 1500Lbs towing, seems to run WAY smoother w/ 91+ octane fuel, Steering wheel does not telescope, dissapointed with city fuel economy, body lean in corners.
Overall review: Vehicle is a great deal for the price... love the low RPMs while highway driving, suggest running Premium fuel if ur city driving... keeps that smooth feeling. Bought mine in April and have put 33K on 'er so far. No problems to report :)

After 190K by Rob on 08/19/2012. Trim: 2009 Mazda Tribute i Grand Touring 4WD, Owned 3 years.
Pros: 4wd, fold down seats, 4cyl engine/fuel economy, can tow small boat (u-haul hitch), has not needed alignment after 190K, great in snow
Cons: Bad things have happened. Multiple axle seal leaks (TSB & fix eventually put out); seal on computer defective - corroded & punked out (after warranty), transmission shifts not always smooth. Wiring for trailer lights is there but is useless w/o tow package d/t relay 'seats' not hard-wired.
Overall review: Let's be honest, it's a ford... u get their reliability record with this one. If your willing to gamble don't pay too much and you might be rewarded with a capable light SUV. I'd recommend 2wd and 5spd to loose the shifty auto transmission... too bad you loose the 4wd but it's a more bulletproof setup.
