Classy and Rugged
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/16/2012.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT2 1500 4WD, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
Power and Comfort are great. Towing capacity will handle anything the average person will need to haul. The 6 speed transmission is an improvement to the fuel economy as well!
Cons:
No Cons. Can't complain about size or economy, it's part of buying a big vehicle.
Overall review:
Great family/tow vehicle.

Tow Vehicle that hauls family and more!
by TribalSimba from Erie, PA on 06/01/2012.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LS 2500 4WD, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
Spacious, Powerful, and capable. We bought our Suburban both haul people, and tow our 30' Travel Trailer/Camper. It does the work extremely well. It also is very quiet inside, compared to our last (truck) 2004 Silverado. Love the integrated trailer brake. Love the engine braking while towing. Love the 2nd/3rd Row HVAC Vents. Love the liftgate/glass doors over older body style barn doors. This is my first SUV, I've been loyal to a truck since 1997, and I may never return to another truck.
Cons:
Thirsty! The 6.0L drinks a little bit more than the (older) 5.3L (price for payload capacity). I wish there was more storage in the dash. I am very dissappointed that there are not car seat hooks on 'every' 2nd/3rd row bench seat. The seat behind the drivers seat in the 2nd Row bench lack car seat hooks in the seat.
I think that this 6.0L engine deserves more investment in fuel economy and efficiency. I realize they don't wont to improve the GAS truck engine to compete with the Duramax Deisel; but let's face it, the Duramax isn't an option in this vehicle, and a SuperCharger/Turbo along with better total aspiration could cut down on alot of fuel consumption; and improve towing even more.
Overall review:
If you already own a truck; (and aren't a 5th Wheeler) and are considering a minivan for a second vehicle; I would replace the truck witn a Suburban every time, and keep your economic compact car as your other daily driver.

King of the Highway
by Cabin Cruzr on 12/11/2009.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT2 1500 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
It's big, comfortable, roomy inside, plenty of cargo room, long range (30 gal capacity), excellent audio system, rugged interior (kid proof), handles great, comfortable ride, safe and sure-footed in every kind of weather. Bloothtooth hands-free works great with your cell phone. Fit and finish are very good.
Cons:
Parking takes some getting used to, if you're used to a smaller SUV. Back-up cam should be standard in every model, perhaps built into the mirror. Only comes with Nav option.
Overall review:
Excellent if you need the seating and cargo space or if want the safety of a large vehicle around you.
