Lovemylegacy by Don on 03/24/2012. Trim: 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Love the look. Love the AWD. Love the handling, sunroof, stereo. Mine is all black and can be mistaken for an Acura.
Cons: Wish there was a little more leg room on driver side.
Overall review: Great looking, safe and fun to drive

Sweet Ride by Auburn, California Skiier on 10/20/2010. Trim: 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: The vehicle rides and handles very well, everything works well. It is quiet and smooth. Has large trunk and tool kit. It handles steep gravel roads well. Cornering is very flat.
Cons: Dual A/C is confusing, blower runs at too high of a speed. I avoid using the automatic setting. Mode selection is confusing. Manual A/T function shifts to sport but does not indicate what gear that it is in until gear is shifted. When cruise control is actuated the sport light goes out. Drivers manual does not explain this or what mode transmission is in. Are shift points still modified or not?
Overall review: This vehicle is just right as far as ride, control, fit and finish. It could use a little more power and a additional transmission gear (5 speed). I like it and would buy another.

Vastly Underrated Sports Sedan by 09Limited from Indiana on 05/04/2009. Trim: 2009 Subaru Legacy 3.0R Limited, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Reliability and safety ratings, 18" rims, Harman Kardon stereo, smooth six-cylinder Boxer engine, premium-feeling leather, heated seats, interior fit and finish, all wheel drive, electroluminescent gauges, spoiler, sunroof, frameless doors, navigation system, heating elements in the bottom of the windshield to prevent windshield wipers from freezing to glass in winter, side mirror turn signals, sleek exterior.
Cons: No glove box light, no interior footwell lights, lack of xenon headlights, navigation system is out-of-date compared to other cars' systems, lack of some new gadgets offered in other cars (e.g. blind spot monitoring system, proximity key, push button start), but I suppose they'll remedy this with the 2010 model.
Overall review: I am extremely pleased with my purchase. For 2009 Subaru paired with high-end stereo manufacturer Harman Kardon, which is a vast improvement to the measly 100 watt stereo of previous Legacys. I also like the fact that you do not see too many Legacys on the road (especially the 3.0R Limited models with 18" rims). Even though I just picked up my car a couple days ago, I've had a lot of friends ask me what kind of car it is, and when I tell them it's a Subaru, they are stunned. I've gotten many compliments!

The Ultimate Let Down by Need4Speed on 10/03/2010. Trim: 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Sporty look. Handling is excellent. Good midrange power is good. Seems reliable.
Cons: The quality of interior materials are poor. The ride is very uncomfortable. The electrical system (alarm, windows, sunroof, etc) seem substandard. Wind noise while driving is aweful ... even with the best bluetooth technology. Without the turbo or V6 model, Honda Civics can easily leave you in the dust!!
Overall review: I would not recommend this vehicle unless you have a real need for all-wheel drive. If you occasionally enjoy leaving other cars in the dust, getting into heavy traffic with confidence, or having conversations at normal volumes ... get another car! There's a reason you don't see many of these cars on the road.
