Satisfied by Bob on 03/11/2012. Trim: 2009 Nissan Versa 1.8 S Hatchback, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Good headroom, with back seat folded holds a lot of stuff, engine responsive.
Cons: Could have more road noise isolation, a little squirrelly in windy conditions on the highway, transmission downshifts to a fault ( accelerating one or two mph when reengaging cruise control). I tried non abs at dealer and rejected it. with abs, much better. The dealer's salesman was surprised when I locked up the wheels in a braking test, but, hey, how are you going to know?
Overall review: Good value. I like the little car and it's right for my driving. Average around 30 mph combined. This car is 16 years newer than my old Ford Escort, which got 33 to 43. This is progress? Not a knock on this car, others are the same.

VERSAtile little runabout. by Reverend Biff from Madtown on 09/27/2010. Trim: 2009 Nissan Versa 1.8 S Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: For the most part, this is a great little car. I drive 150 miles round trip every day. The engine is quiet, the controls and throttle are very responsive, the stereo is not too bad for stock. I like the higher seats and the headroom, as well as the relatively spacious trunk. Fuel economy is decent, i average 410 miles per tank. (although it helps that I buy non-ethanol fuel)
Cons: There are a few things that could have been done better. armrests. 'nuff said. a trunk release on the key fob would be amazing, not to mention the fact that there is no inside trunk release at all. The higher roofline tends to make it catch the wind a bit and makes the handling a little squirrelly on windy days. While the car has good acceleration, it can seem to lurch a bit when you really get on the throttle, especially if you are using the accel button on the cruise control.
Overall review: Overall, I would recommend this car to any single person, couple or young family. It has a very spacious cabin and trunk ( I can ride comfortably in the back seat, and I am a 300 lb guy). The fuel economy is good, and it handles well (unless it's windy). Great commuter car, and it's smaller size makes it easy to park in the city.

Great car. by pat on 02/25/2010. Trim: 2009 Nissan Versa 1.6 Base Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Fuel mpg is great, plenty of power in traffic and priced right. The Versa has plenty of room for passengers and lots of trunk space. Dollar for dollar Nissan makes the best car on the road.
Cons: I can't think of anything negative to say about this car.
Overall review: Great car.
