Great Sport/Sedan
by Doug from Las Cruces on 10/08/2008.
Trim: 2009 Nissan Maxima SV, Owned less than 1 year.
4
Pros:
Great looking. Lots of room and trunk space. All the bells and whistles like bluetooth, navigation, back-up camera, iPod connection, halogen lights, etc. Handles very well. I get an honest 25 mpg around town! I don't have a lead foot but I don't drive like an old man either. Interior is very quiet.
Cons:
The transmission takes some getting used to but once you do it provides seemless shifting and when you want to get up and go, it will.
Overall review:
Pricey but worth it

Feels like a sports car
by N8 - Maryland on 04/12/2013.
Trim: 2009 Nissan Maxima SV, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Pretty much everything.
Cons:
My only gripe is with the audio system. It's a Bose system that sounds amazing but the features are a bit lacking. Mine came with an iPod integration cable but no mini jack port for my Android (even my old 2006 Impala had one of those) and no usb port. Either of those would have been a great addition. Instead they have a Compact Flash port? Really? BlueTooth doesn't work either. It does have a built-in 9.3GB hard drive for saving music (2000+ songs) but the only way to transfer music to the drive is via CD. It will play mp3 CDs but you can't save those to the drive. It will only record from a normal format CD. For a newer, advanced system, they were shortsighted on the features.
Overall review:
I have only had this car for a week so I can't give an acurate review but so far I love it and hope to own it for a long time. Has the Sport Package and Tech Package which is sweet.

good car to own
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/27/2012.
Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
I like the look, specially lights, handling,
Cons:
I like the handeling except when making a sharp turn at medium hight speed the car then feels like its going to turn over. I believe it should have more protection on doors to protect them from irrisponsible drivers who keep denting and scratching the sides of the car, with their doors.
Overall review:
I purchased this car brand new, though i really like and enjoy it, I enjoyed the 2005 nissan, altima more [which i also purchased brand new] and regreted trading it in for the maxima; not because there is anything wrong with the maxima but because the dealers cheat u on the price; and i believe the altima was better on gas, and handeling.

A REAL SPORT SEDAN
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/14/2012.
Trim: 2009 Nissan Maxima SV, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
I TRADED IN MY SEDATE TOYOTA AVALON FOR THE 09 MAXIMA SV (PREMIUM). THE DIFFERNCE IS NIGHT AND DAY WHERE THE THE AVALON HAS MORE ROOM AND A TAD BETTER FIT & FINISH, IT CAN NOT TOUCH THE MAXIMA FOR PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIVENESS AND HANDLING. CABIN IS VERY REFINED WITH ALL THE BELL AND WHISTLES EXPECTED IN A HIGH END LUXURY CAR. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons:
CABIN STORAGE COULD BE IMPROVED
Overall review:
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SPORT OR LUXURY SPORT SEDAN GIVE THE MAXIMA A LOOK

Not to be confused with an Altima
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/24/2012.
Trim: 2009 Nissan Maxima SV, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
A stunning interior with many nice features normally found on much more expensive vehicles. Lots of power with minimal torque steer. Once you get use to the CVT the smoothness is unmatched by the competitors. Brilliant exterior with bold and unique curves. Smooth suspension, but dont be afraid to throw it around a corner. Very well planted on 4 large wheels!
Cons:
Big bulky and thirsty in a metropolitan setting, more suitable in a highway or rual setting. Some mechanical issues that were promptly remedied by the dealer.
Overall review:
This is Nissan's flag ship vehicle with many stolen designs from Infinti, as a result value is very high. Don't confuse it with an Altima! Much more vehicle here. Drive the 2 for 15 minutes and you will agree. You will not be dissappointed, but I can not emphasis the importance of servicing it at a reputable Nissan dealership. Not all dealers are the same!
