TRY A TRIBECA by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/10/2012. Trim: 2009 Subaru Tribeca Limited, Owned 3 years.
Pros: PURCHASED MY 2009 TRIBECA NEW. WINTER OF 2010 WAS ONE OF THE WORST EVER IN NORTH DAKOTA.MY SUBARU PERFORMED PERFECTLY THROUGH ICE,DEEP SNOW, AND BLIZZARDS. SYMMETRICAL ALL WHEEL DRIVE IS INCREDIBLE ON ICE AND SNOW. INTERIOR IS LAID OUT VERY WELL DASH AND CONTROLS ARE EASILY VISIBLE AND THE SEATS ARE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE.
Cons: THE ONLY THING THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE BETTER IS THE GAS MILEAGE. CITY IS 13MPG AND HIGHWAY MILEAGE IS 20
Overall review: GREAT CAR HAS ALL OF THE AMENITIES HANDLING IS VERY RESPONSIVE REGARDLESS OF CONDITIONS. PLENTY OF POWER ON THE OPEN ROAD AND FUN TO DRIVE

rattling auto by george northeast atlanta on 12/24/2009. Trim: 2009 Subaru Tribeca Limited, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: easy entry and exit
Cons: poor fuel mileage (15 town 17 interstate), small gas tank, hard seats, rear strorage covers have no latches and constantly "pop"up. the rear seat rattles. the dealership could not repair it. they stored 12 water bottles in the storage area and stuffed a shop rag under the hinge to keep the noise down
Overall review: this auto is definately not recommended for long trips. nor people with good hearing. i sold the thing with 13k miles on it.

TRIBECA by Susie Utah on 11/26/2009. Trim: 2009 Subaru Tribeca 7-Passenger, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Subaru's are great in handling, Snow, Rain, Slush they are the car to drive. Power great. . so comfortable . . . our long trips are much easier to tolerate. Love the size and height of the vehicle.
Cons: Gas mileage is terrible. . I know I did read reviews about that, but I thought it would be better. Only 22 MPG on trips and less than 16 mph around town. My 200,000 mile 5 speed outback doesn't have the pizazz, but I prefer to drive it around town and short jaunts. Wish I could have the best of both worlds automatic transmission, good mileage, subaru 4WD, and comfort
Overall review: I love Subaru's been driving them on snow since 1977. Haven't found a an AWD I like as well. Tried Pathfinders, Jeeps, 4 runners etc.

GREAT Value by Gotarev on 10/23/2009. Trim: 2009 Subaru Tribeca Limited 7-Passenger, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Great solid ride, powerful and smooth engine. It really moves with the feel of a luxury SUV without the price. SE edition is the BEST value. Many professional reviews say the second roll seat is too cramp. They forget there two stages to the 2nd roll seat adjustment that is suppose to protect the third roll seat. The 2nd roll can be pushed way further back. 3rd roll is for children or emergecies. If you really need 3rd roll all the time, you probably need a minivan or a full-size SUV.
Cons: Some rattles. The break light switch one the break peddle makes a light churping sound every time you depress and release breaks. Subaru knows about the problem but haven't provided a solution. Gas milage could be better but is camparable to others in the same class. The gas tank needs to be larger.
Overall review: Awesome value! Nothing can come close in this price range. Highlander and Pilot is far more expensive without a real AWD; unlike the other that are part-time AWD. When you campare the ride and performace for the price, the Tribeca much better--let alone you won't be driving something that everyone else has.
