Pros:
This car is simply awesome. It goes for zero to scary in a couple of seconds and handles like a dream. You need to find one before they are all gone....
Cons:
It was discontinued. A musclecar for the masses......
Overall review:
Fit, is nice, ride is great, handling is great as well. Gas mileage is great for a 6.0 ltr and overall this is a really fine ride.

Pros:
Horsepower! I have taken this vehicle drag racing 5 times and took home first place each time. Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers all left in the dust by a 4 Dr.
Cons:
Nothing--- except that that no longer make the car. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
Overall review:
Fantastic! --- I have one of the 45 GXP's in Pacific Slate Metallic--- I love to sit in the car everyday.

Pros:
Let me start by saying,go out and buy your favorite used one as fast as you can because it is a fantastic car. One reason I bought it was the reaction and reviews I encountered when researching the car. everybody loves their G8. any model. Some rate the interior lower than they should but it has quality materials ,w/a more conservative classic look and real nice leather. Bottom line the seats are super comfortable.
Cons:
Lack of options that came witha cheaper SSEi Bonneville, though the all around greatness of the G8 at least makes up for it. The next bummer is the GXP model doesn't have cylinder deactivation,so fuel economy is bad. Git on it much and I'll get 170 miles to a tank. I
Overall review:
One sentence, sell whatever you've got and find the best one or more that you can find and buy it while there still new.you wont regret it.

The great G8 GT
by Eagle1 on 12/28/2009.
Trim: 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Performance, value, styling, utility. This car will give you as much as you ask of it. Whether at standing start or on the freeway the G8 GT delivers. The power is delivered in a refined way, pushing you back into the seat and increasing in excitement as you jump on it. The fact its a 4 door sedan that comfortably seats 5 passengers makes it a world beater. When you consider the guys rolling around in their Euro machines paid 2X for a less exciting driving experience you'll just smile and blow by them.
Cons:
Nothing to dislike. I added three touches that I wish were factory. First is a Gentex auto-dimming rear-view mirror, second was sound proofing in the doors, wheel wells and floor. Last touch was subtle red LED ambient lighting that I borrowed from BMW interior. Nice for night running lights without turning on the dome. If GM had 1 more year with the car I'm sure they would have added in-dash map-based nav and integrated Blu-tooth.
Overall review:
Having owned a BMW 540i and Mercedes E400 my expectations have been high on this car. Encourage anyone to put the spec's on this car next to top of the line Lexus, BMW, Infinity etc - look at the specs and ignore the brand - then check the price. This is the best car for the money period.
The G8 GT is a classic in the making. When I look at it next to classics from 60's to the 90's - any class of car - the G8 GT stands proudly in that company. I plan to keep mine as a collector. If you are lucky enough to find one in good shape, buy it - what a gem.
