Terrific SUV with emphasis on Sport!
by Todd on 07/01/2012.
Trim: 2009 Acura RDX 5-Spd AT w/ Tech Pkg, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
Great handling and ride combination.
Engine provides lots of power and smoothness.
Fuel economy is very good (contrary to lots of complaints I've seen).
Very roomy back seat for three children incl. 1 car seat and one booster.
Stereo is amazing, nav is very good.
Controls are top notch especially on steering wheel.
Reliable, all day long.
3 years old, no rattles or squeaks.
Cons:
Carpet in trunk looks cheap.
Cargo cover is easy to hit with forehead (ouch).
Overall review:
Just an excellent vehicle for the family, especially if you want something fun to drive. I'm coming out of a BMW M5 and my other cars include an M roadster and a 911. So you can see I enjoy sporty cars. The RDX delivers a great combination of true sporty driving with good economy, comfort and practicality.
Those who complain about the fuel economy have unrealistic expectations. You can't get power without burning fuel. I get better than 25mpg on the highway, and about 23.5 mpg (10l/100km) on 60/40 hiway/city driving. Of course I can screw that up with a lead foot.
I think it's a shame the 2013 redesign is a copy of the mushy and boring competition.

Best compact luxury SUV
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 05/31/2010.
Trim: 2009 Acura RDX 5-Spd AT, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
As others have mentioned this SUV is a smooth performer on the road, and when the weather gets dicey. Despite the athletic suspension and quick acceleration, the ride never gets noisy and always remains quiet and smooth. Fuel economy is actually very compettitive considering this is an all-wheel-drive vehicle that also has a turbo charger -- you can easily get around 21 mpg in a mix of city and highway driving. The base sound system and integrated trunk subwoofer also sound great.
Cons:
None.
Overall review:
Definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a reliable, smooth, and fun to drive SUV for around $30k. Other luxury brands may offer similar performance, but with Acura you are getting a better reputation for reliability, and all the features you need already come standard (fog lights, sound system, sunroof, heated seats, etc.)
