Awesome car
by Jeff from Montana on 05/09/2011.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
Great styling... inside and out;
V6 has good power;
Relatively low interior noise compared to other cars in segment
Cons:
No Sat/Nav available--tech needs to be updated to compete with Ford and Hyundai;
Availability of AWD would be a plus
Overall review:
Love it!!!

Stylish Quality Yet Affordable
by Bianca from NE Ohio on 01/11/2010.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
It drives smooth, is very quiet, and gets good gas mileage. It has a spacious interior, sleek design inside and out, and a nice sound system. The traction control works well, too. I also like the ability to adjust the seat up/down and front/back as well as the steering wheel (telescopic) - good for any driver height.
Cons:
It would be nice to have more gadgets, but they are easy enough to get with a higher trim.
Overall review:
I love driving and riding in this car. I think we will have this car for a VERY long time. It is a good quality car with a good price that's big enough for a family but still looks and feels luxurious.

GM FINALLY gets what we want in a sedan!
by Stuart from NM on 03/21/2009.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I love the styling of this car. The trunk is amazing, seats are very comfortable, and driving position is almost perfect. I cannot believe I got so much for my money. I really like the console and front buckets with lots of places to store stuff. And so far, my mileage is about 28 overall. Since I live in a rural area, I do a lot of short-trip driving. The 2.4 four banger is amazingly powerful and quiet. I really love everything about the car. My last 4 door was a 2000 BMW 325i and it was so trouble-prone, that this car actually exceeds it in every way. If you are looking at the Camry/Accord/Altima lines, then do yourself a favor; drive this car before you decide. Trust Me on this!
Cons:
Nothing so far, and believe me I tried to find something at fault. Just my nature.
Overall review:
If you have a small family, or just like comfort on long trips, this car is for you. Quiet, comfortable, and fuel efficient, your trips will go by much more quickly in this car. I bought American this time because I felt I had to, but now I realize that I got MUCH more car for my bucks. I do not regret buying this wonderful car for a second.

09 Malibu is one to consider
by RS on 04/20/2013.
Trim: 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LT2, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Surprisingly good! Will grow on you, that's for sure.... Seats are comfortable, interior is nicely laid out, leather-wrapped wheel with radio controls is a MUST, fun to drive and easy on the budget! The sunroof is a nice feature to get, as are the heated leather seats and remote start. The car has power EVERYTHING, tilt/telescopic column, loads of room, a MASSIVE trunk, and loads of comfort in all areas.
Cons:
I would have liked better Bluetooth capability (Audio Streaming, and a less 'finicky' Bluetooth module) and a USB port (which came later), and I would have liked a bit better fuel economy (same as my former Grand Am 3400 V6... What gives?)
The shifter trim on the console has a gap, but that could just require a bit of adjustment (or replacement of that piece...)
Overall review:
Overall, a VERY nice car to get... Shop wisely, and try to get a real bargain.
