Maintain it and it will easily last 300,000 miles. by Lynden, WA on 05/17/2010. Trim: 1990 Honda Civic Si Hatchback, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Easy to maintain, cheap parts, great gas mileage, pretty quick for only having a little over 100hp.
Cons: Sunroof leaks, alternator has been replaced twice.
Overall review: I got this car when I was 16 and owned it for about 3 years. I had minimal problems with it and was excellent for me because it is very economical. I got it with about 190,000 miles on it and sold it with 260,XXX miles on it still running strong. I still see it driving around occasionally.

EF hatch with JDMness! by EF3Si on 02/05/2009. Trim: 1990 Honda Civic Si Hatchback, Owned 3 years.
Pros: very reliable and very very easy to work on if you want to upgrade to performance parts. very light, has a moonroof, good with gas, parts are cheap, insurance is cheap, classic honda in the tuning world.
Cons: the car stock lets face it is less than admirable haha. all you need to make it look great is new rota wheels a 2 inch drop and a front lip. the perfomance can be greatly improved with a motor swap of a JDM engine. preferrably a dohc vtec; B16A, B18C, B16B, H22A etc... once you have done those few things the car will drive with the best of them i promise
Overall review: great car to moderately modify, good first car as well, AKA commuter

The ultimate gas saver.... K&N and BG44K by keith smith west columbiaSC on 05/16/2008. Trim: 1990 Honda Civic LX sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Brought this car from my brother for a couple of hundred dollares. He and I thought the timing was gone. As I changed the plugs, wires, distirbutor cap and rotor button. I noticed the little screw from the rotoe button was missing. Installed the new one and car cranked up and ran like a dream.
Cons: Transmission shifts hard in first and second. going to change fliud and see if that helps.
Overall review: Wonderful car. Has 185,000 miles. And cranks everytime and runs strong. Put a K&N filter in the car and everyone please use a can of BG44K in the tank... with the gas prices now... you need to squeeze all the MPG out of the this car as you can.

Honda Si is the real street racer by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/14/2008. Trim: 1990 Honda Civic Si Hatchback, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: You cant park it on the street without someone putting paper with contact number to call to buy this car. People this car can fall apart and still run like a demon
Cons: Must not be parked outside in the elements like snow and rain, salt must be washed off or it will rust away.
Overall review: Bought the car in 1991 and still own it, reasons-its paid for, it always starts, runs like a demon, great on gas and I trust it more than my Ford Escape,(should have bought the Hybrid). Also the Honda is cozy. To anyone buying a used Honda change battery cable if you see the Alternator light or battery light on

Honda's Last Forever by Kevin on 03/13/2008. Trim: 1990 Honda Civic LX sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: This is a great car for any first-time buyers. I got this car from my grandparents friend and it only had 17,000 miles on it. It is a great car. It does the best on gas, good acceleration, good styling, and more. Even though its old, when people feel how good it rides, does on gas, and good style, well lets just say they get jealous. Just change the radio and you get a GREAT car. My friends and I like this Honda by far more than his 2006 Toyota Corolla. Honda lasts forever.
Cons: Needed upgraded speakers.
Overall review: If you see a Honda Civic that looks good, get it. I know people that have had Honda's for years, and they never die. They are cheaper to run, do great on gas, good acceleration for the engine, and just good for your money.
