Release the Beast by Hokie from VA. on 10/24/2009. Trim: 2009 Nissan GT-R Premium Coupe, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: To truly appreciate this car, you must take it to the track. After several sessions at our local 2.5 mi. road course, the car out performs the Z06, M3, 911S, and Viper. Brakes are incredible, especially for a 3900# vehicle. All wheel drive, with the trans. case and tranny in the rear is the real deal as balance is fantastic. Best performance for the money, hands down.
Cons: Would have liked the option of a manual transmission. Could have had a bit more aggressive sound.
Overall review: I set out to buy a Z06 but after due diligence, this was a smart buy. Engineering masterpiece.

The car Darth Vader would drive. by Defuser in Tennessee on 07/27/2009. Trim: 2009 Nissan GT-R Premium Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Performance - the Skyline GT-Rs performance is, to throw a cliche, legendary. The newest iteration is no different. The acceleration is amazing, and I've had friends liken it to their street bikes. Comfort - seats are supportive and comfortable, and front legroom is great, even for my 6'5" frame. The steering wheel telescopes much further than my '06 G35, which is welcome. Rear seat legroom is non-existent, but who really WANTS to carry more than two people in this car? Technology - I am a tech geek and everything about this car is fantastic, from ergonomics to ease of use. My only gripe is that I had to buy and Ipod Touch specifically for the car. A Zune adapter would be nice!
Cons: The sounds that emanate from the dual-clutch system, especially at lower speeds, take some getting used to. Had I not test driven three different GT-Rs when I was shopping for one, I'd have been taken aback by the clunky sounds, but they are entirely normal. The driving position, while immensely comfortable, isn't as low to the ground as I would expect from a supercar, but Nissan's goal was to make an "every day" supercar and they succeeded admirably.
Overall review: Finally, the true Skyline makes it's debut in the US (yes I know the Infiniti G-series is technically the Skyline, which is why I own one of those, too). The car grabs attention wherever it goes. I literally can't go fifteen minutes without people honking, giving the thumbs up, taking pictures, or stopping and asking questions, which I don't mind since I'm a gearhead and I love talking cars. The performance is amazing. Zero to 60 in under 4 seconds is a little scary, but exhilarating. I haven't even scraped the surface of what the car is capable of and I love it. Steering is razor-sharp with good feedback. Interior noise at speed is a little loud but not overwhelming, and setting the suspension to COMF alleviates a great deal of noise. The car's stance is menacing and the exhaust note with the throttle open has that high-pitched primal scream of a TIE Fighter. Truly a car designed for Darth Vader.

Nice , but still a Nissan with turbo's by Leo NYC on 05/22/2009. Trim: 2009 Nissan GT-R Premium Coupe, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Near super car status at Vet price. (In a Nissan lovers eye) If you want to do donuts to impress someone I guess this is your car.
Cons: Had to pay the dealer 15 K just to order. Premium's on a Nissan is unheard of. got suckered into ordering. After 2 hours at 150mph you will realize it's just a Nissan with turbo's. really no frills Super Nissan but the Yomo Turbo's. Turbo's seem to work but trouble right out of the box with them. Oil cooled would have been a better idea.
Overall review: Nice near super car feel, no memory seats, back to dealer 4 times first month for over heated turbo's. Dealers really don't know how to maintain this car, warranty is useless. Nissan has to step up to the standards of BMW USA to get people to shell out 100K for a sports car. If this thing every needs major repair I'm out of luck. Nissan America has bought back several of them just to get out of law suits. Could have had a Vette with local service for 20K less.

The Perfect Sports Car for the young at heart of any age. by DavidB, La Quinta, CA on 04/29/2009. Trim: 2009 Nissan GT-R Premium Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Having owned many high performance sports cars from Cobras and Porsche turbos to 12 cylinder Ferraris as well as M3's and M5's I believe that the GT-R is the best car that I have ever owned by a wide margin. Aside from the value pricing, the GT-R performs better at acceleration, handling and road worthiness than any of my previous cars. I would highly recommend it to anyone, who wants to drive an exciting but relatively safe car. I would caution that it is a very high performance sports car and shouldn't be mistakenly purchased as a GT Touring car, ie; Mercedes SL. On the other hand, I find that I now drive this car 95% of the time rather than my XK or XJR's. It's that much fun.
Cons: The ride is definitely a "sports car" ride even in its comfort mode. Although the seats are fantastic and give great support, the road can be felt through the stiff suspension. Mechanical noises can also be heard from the dual-clutch system which are unlike any other transmission I have driven in the past.
Overall review: This car has all the technological bells and whistles necessary for high performance race driving but still gives the daily driver a fantastic sense of command of speed and handling that I would never believe possible had I not driven it myself. It's an addictive, joy to drive and it seems to give the same joy to all the young people who recognize it as the Skyline GT-R. If you don't want people taking pictures of your car when both driving and parked, don't buy this car. It is a head turner.
