Evolution X...an amazing experience by ShallowWhits from Chicago on 06/12/2011. Trim: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Unique vehicle that has the peformance and handling of an expensive exotic but at a reasonable price. With the proper tires this car can handle all weather conditions and is really a blast to drive year round! For a performance car it's really amazing to have 4 doors and to have the ability to also seat 4 adults comfortably as well. 99% of those that buy this car will have modifications in mind and this car responds very well even with minimal mods!Track,Auto-X,Drag,or Daily Driving this car is made to handle any,and all needs that you have!! I personally like the no-nonsense interior and the Recaro seats as well. It's just a really FUN,amazing machine!!!!!
Cons: The paint quality is poor...for a car made to drive in all conditions it chips and scratches extremely bad!!! Mud flaps should come standard at the very least... MPG's are low and the gas tank is small so you'll be well known at your local gas stations in no time! The insurance rates on this car are insane and I have a perfect driving record!! Maintenance and general upkeep can be expensive especially if you have mods and you have no warranty anymore....There is very limited trunk space and the back seats do not fold down due to the battery and washer fluid being in the trunk. Doesn't really bother me but it should be known that the car does squeak, rattle, thump and make noise daily.
Overall review: Honestly it's just an incredible experience!!! Track monster,Auto-X,Drag, Daily commuter,etc....not many other vehicles can do the same and at this price. The fact that the car is pretty rare makes it even more appealing and it has almost an exotic feel to it. Most cars in the same price range (Mustang,Camaro,370Z,etc...) have there own advantages in performance but none are as complete and can be driven in any, and all conditions. The Subaru STI is the only other car that is similar in depth and between those two I prefer the Evolution but that's just personal opinion. It has it's quirks....ratlles,small trunk, fuel range,no nonsense interior, etc....but the pro's far outweigh the cons!! Personally I absolutely love the aggressive styling of the Evolution!! It looks like a killer robot and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!Overall... An Amazing Machine!!! There's really not anything else out there quite like it....Highly Recommended to any car enthusiast!!

Mitsubishi Lancers by Mitsubishi Man from California on 08/29/2012. Trim: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, Owned 3 years.
Pros: I own a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evoluton GSR with 6,100 miles. Bought the car brand new in 2009 & I love the vehicle. Knowing that thits vehicle can seat four, handle, drive, & perform like is exotic makes it a good buy. If you choose to modify the vehicle, it could cost from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars, depending on how you want the vehicle to perforrn. I notice that when I drive on the highway between 65 or 70 mph I averaged between 24 mpg to 26 mpg. That surprised me
Cons: Gas mileage is terrible if you have a heavy foot, expensive to maintain if you use it as an every day vehicle, trunk is small, paint quality could be better (scratches are easy if you're not careful).l . I guess Mitsubishi knowing that the vehicle was 300 lbs. heavier, didn't want to add more weight and used less paint
Overall review: Again love the vehicle. I also own a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 67,000 miles. The difference between the two. The 2003 has more raw power and is unrefined. The 2008 is more refined, pleasant to drive, but still has the power. Both vehicles remain unmodified, except for stereo system. So glad I have my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ to use as a everyday vehicle.

2008 Evo MR w/SST by Angel, San Diego on 07/04/2010. Trim: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Good acceleration and excellent brakes. Tight front seats but comfortable. Responsive transmission, SST.
Cons: Unusable MMCS AUX port, low gas mileage (runs rich), small trunk, and fast wearing tires. Lost some lower deflector clips and dealers can't find them in their parts system (wrong clips shown.)
Overall review: A great bargain. I would buy another one.

Best car available under $40K period. by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/02/2009. Trim: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Fast accelleration in stock form, responds very well to aftermarket parts(if you don't care about a warranty), stops on a dime, amazing handling, very few people own them or have ever even heard of them.
Cons: Needs a sixth gear, could do with a few more MPG(but an acceptable sacrifice for performance), and produces more brake dust under regular driving conditions than any other car I have ever seen.
Overall review: Absolutely love the car, the negatives are unnoticeable compared to the positives.
