Honda & Toyota take a back seat ...... by Rochester NY on 10/02/2009. Trim: 2008 Kia Optima LX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Everything, especially the 35mpg average highway gas consumption, but 27-28 in town driving is nice too!
Cons: Absolutely NOTHING.
Overall review: Pervious owner of 5 Toyota Camry's - All around, the Optima has shown better qualities for the 18 months we've owned it. Dealer/Service experience & satisfaction also better than the local Toyota franchaise(s).

Nice mid-size sedan by Jerry from Iowa on 07/24/2008. Trim: 2008 Kia Optima EX, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Comes nicely equiped. Good sound system. Rides and handles very well. Short turning radius. Satisfactory mileage. 4 cyl. engine is agile and gets up to highway speeds quickly. Transmission includes a sport shifting mode. Large trunk with rear seat pass-through capability. Impressive seat and leg room. Exterior and interior finish is excellent. 100,000 mile warrenty and 5 year roadside assistance package.
Cons: Front seat console arm rest is too small and placed too far back to be useful. Driver's seat needs more lateral support. No ABS brakes.
Overall review: If you are looking for a well equiped and inexpensive mid-size sedan you owe it to yourself to check out the Kia Optima.

Great Car! by Lynn on 01/06/2011. Trim: 2008 Kia Optima LX V6, Owned 2 years.
Pros: This is my second Optima and I love it more than the first one. It is very dependable. Other than the regularly scheduled maintenance the most money I had to put in the last one was about 500.00 for new tires. As long as to take care of this car it will take care of you!
Overall review: Great Car

The Optima by azace on 11/28/2010. Trim: 2008 Kia Optima EX, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: We are a two-Kia family. The Optima was the second purchase from the same dealer. Based on looks, price and economy it was a no-brainer. Both this and the Spectra5 get 22 to 25 mpg in the city, and 32-35 highway. Better by far than any of the three Toyotas we owned. Absolutely no issues in two years ownership. Trunk room in Optima was a surprise - it's huge for a small car! I never pass up a chance to tell people to at least consider Kia - great mileage, quality and warranty for a great price! I would recommend changing filters at first service to K&N - they will make a difference.
Cons: There is nothing I can think of with either car that I would consider less than great!
Overall review: I highly recommend the Kia brand. There's a model for everyone, and the features are going to surprise you!
