A Conundrum by Jimbo on 01/15/2012. Trim: 2008 BMW 335i Coupe, Owned 2 years.
Pros: One of the greatest sport sedans on the road - Does all things very well, probably the best for some drivers, great power good mileage. If you are like me - buy one!
Cons: Cost of maintenance! But when you play you pay. If you want Asian like maintenance costs; buy asian and enjoy your boring ride. This is a far more complex and exciting machine.
Overall review: Cold Asian competitors don't have the experienced soul of this car, but how could they? Asian car companies have no real sporting history and their people dont even have the freedom to drive their vehicles in a sporty fashion in their own backyards. Ask Asians what they want and BMW is at the top.

The not-so Ultimate Driving Machine by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/04/2012. Trim: 2008 BMW 328i Convertible, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Acceleration and handling is great. Hard top convertible an engineering feat.
Cons: Run flat tires are abysmal. I have 42,000 miles on the car and need to purchase my 4th SET of tires already. In retrospect, I would have opted out of run-flat option. The car sits way too low in front. It takes extremely cautious driving to not bottom out or hit potholes. Mechanically, I have had to replace starter already (at 40k miles) and the electronic system needs repair. Keyless entry failed at 35,000 miles. I have been a BMW owner for two decades and this is the first time I am considering something else. Meanwhile, I still have my 97' BMW 328 convertible and it has been relatively pain-free. The Parts Dept guys at BMW recommendation is to stick with pre 2000 models.
Overall review: This is one BMW aficionado that is sad to leave the fold. Auf Wiedersehen BMW!

The Ultimate Driving Machine Really by BButch from Bossier on 07/31/2010. Trim: 2008 BMW 335i Convertible, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Styling is great, YES it is The Ultimate Driving Machine, Sports package is great holds road and is Not to hard on this old Body, While sitting in drivers seat all controls are great for me. I have No problems with runflats on this vehicle My son has a 550 and his runflats are nosiey (Maybe Brand) The Nav sysytem is on the button for finding locations even in rural areas
Cons: Wish factory would tinted the windows Hot in the South, Maybe a touch screen for Nav system also the Nav system can be a bit hard until you learn how to use it But it is very accurate Maybe a bit more power /torque or stiffer trany
Overall review: Actually the car is outstanding this is my second bimmer. I have a 04 330I also. This car handles great, takes turns great, and powers out of the turns great The top is fun to watch opening and closing no leaks and is very quiet also I.E. no wind nose

Think twice before you spend alot of money for this car by David on 10/27/2012. Trim: 2008 BMW 328i, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Braking system is terrific Good acceleration using the 6 speed manually.
Cons: accelerating using auto transmission creates lags.Pedal to the floor or halfway down....you wait before it goes. In my judgement this lag is dangerous. BWM told me it's normal.Turning the heating 0r AC system off requires you to continually depress the off button before it stops. If the fan is on high you have to depress the off button about 5 times to shut the system down...BAD IDEA ultimate driving machine engineers. Run flat tires may help you if you get a flat but the ride you get is very hard. Give me softer tires and a spare. Steering is very stiff maybe good for 150 mph but not around town. When you spend the "wood" for this ultimate driving machine it should be just that...it's not
Overall review: Overrated

Best RWD sports sedan...if you can live with the run-flats by Andy from Philly suburbs on 08/24/2008. Trim: 2008 BMW 328xi, Owned 1 year.
Pros: - confident handling - Styling - Acceleration - Braking
Cons: - Run flat tires are LOUD! - Stereo Screen is unreadable when wearing polarized glasses
Overall review: I've been driving this car for two years and overall it has been a rewarding experience. Fellow drivers respect this car on the road (You'll amazed at how readily other drivers move out of the passing lane to let you by). Since fuel economy is a hot topic these days I can tell you that you will get about 23 mpg combined. The worst part of this car is the tires. Run-flats provide peace of mind but little else. For the first 15k miles everything was fine but then I began hearing a waffling sound resonate throughout the cabin...by 20k miles I couldn't take it anymore and I took it to the dealer. The service manager knew exactly what it was (as if I was the 3rd person to complain about it that week) and told me that was the sound that the tires make as they begin to wear. He said that they have plenty of life left but the only way to get rid of the noise is to replace them. This car would be perfect with different rubber on the wheels.
