Good buy by SZ on 05/14/2011. Trim: 2008 Lexus LS 460 Luxury Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Flawlessly engineered, best reliable and luxury family car, intuitive controls, rigid build inside out, Bluetooth working great with my cell phones, Mic is clear, excellent mileage with powerful v8 (easily get average 20m/g with a bit highway and mostly local). better value than MB S series. low key unless you enjoy I am rich image:). In past 15 yrs, we always have one Lexus in our house as I know I can count on it to go anywhere anytime comfortably driving kids
Cons: brake is touchy, not modulated well. you need sometime to get use to. steering wheel is too light and you don't get the satisfaction of operating a car especially making turns basic audio should be better, park sensors should be standard not able to enable phone keypad during driving,
Overall review: best family car with luxury, most reliable - I had almost no issues with any Lexus cars (3 of them) in past 15 years. not a Porsche and not designed as one so don't drive it fast at corners. i especially like its low-key style- I don't like MB for this reason plus reliability probs. Japanese cars all tend to be too "standard" in terms of controls and lack uniqueness, can be boring for car lovers. my wife is not a car lover so she likes similar controls when I change her car every few years. I am different though.

An amazing vehicle by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/16/2009. Trim: 2008 Lexus LS 460 Luxury Sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Beautiful well made auto. Rides and handles like a dream. Mileage is very good considering you have a real powerhouse under the hood.
Cons: Expensive scheduled maint at dealer. 15000 mile scheduled maint costs over 450.00. dealer labor is 105.00 per hour. Perceived dealer service attitude is "if you can afford this car, you should be able to afford these maint prices"!!
Overall review: A real pleasure to drive this car.

The former best production sedan by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/20/2009. Trim: 2008 Lexus LS 460 L Luxury Sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: It is stunning
Cons: The stretch sedan has a defect that is not common to other Lexus models. The front windows sound as though air is passing through. Lexus and their Dealers will attempt a fix, but it doesn't work. I have tried three times and have decided to live with it.
Overall review: Wait for the next year, and drive the car in cross winds and speeds in exces of 70 mph. I never test drove a Sedan from Lexus and I have purchased 6 LS models. Now i will verify with a test drive

Good stuff! by Buffalo on 12/15/2008. Trim: 2008 Lexus LS 460 L Luxury Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The more I drive it, the more I enjoy being in it. I got my first LS because of reliabilty ratings. This is my third and their reliability has been everything I had hoped for. My favorite thing has to be the front and back heated and air conditioned seats. The leg room in the L version is super. The controls are easy to find and use. The acceleration is more like a little sports car, except is is comfortable and not jerky.
Cons: The handsfree phone doesn't verbally announce the name of the caller when receiving a call from someone in your phonebook. I had an aftermarket Motorola system that had the feature and found it helpful. I am trying very hard to avoid speeding tickets. If you don't watch your speed, it is easy to be surprised at how fast you are going.
Overall review: I do not see another car on the road that suites daily use so beautifully and so comfortably.

Just another Luxury Car? I Don't Think So....... by Artfullone on 01/22/2008. Trim: 2008 Lexus LS 460 Luxury Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: It's hard to say without sounding like a commercial or Lexus salesman. I have never had a Lexus and traded my Land Rover LR3 in for the 2008 LS460, that's how much this car impresed me. The ride, handling and overall quality make me feel good every time I drive this car. The other positive side of this car is the way the dealer service and support personal treat you go for service, it's a first class experience.
Cons: Some audio and phone functions that should be accessable while you are driving are not. IE: You cannot type a phone number on the screen while driving, you can't scroll through the songs on an MP3 Cd while driving.
Overall review: I consider this the best Luxury car for the money. Mercedes may look a little better and a BMW may drive a little better but this car sets the base line for what a good Luxury car should give you for you money.
