Love this SUV. by Utah on 07/08/2009. Trim: 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid 4HY 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: City mileage, comfort & power. Had it three months.
Cons: Wish the rear seat folded flat like our Yukon XL. The leather seats are not as good quality as earlier vehicles. The driver needs a grab bar like the passenger side. Wish the electric batteries allowed for higher freeway mileage.
Overall review: We average 20.8 around town and 22.7 on highway. Love the vehicle but it is pricey. Bought it as a dealer demo with 1,100 miles on it. People comment that it's the "biggest hybrid they've ever seen. "

We love our Big Black Hybrid Beast by Aurastar from New Mexico on 12/24/2008. Trim: 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid 4HY 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: We waited 14 years to purchase a new vehicle and this one was well worth the wait. It's powerfull, roomy, well appointed, stylish and gets 21 mpg.
Cons: It would be better if the third row seating was stowaway versus removable. Also, the only color available locally to us in this model was black, which is not so good for the desert (it shows every speck of dust) but the interior color (light grey) helps keep it cool inside.
Overall review: It's a great SUV and we would buy it again and recommend it to others.

Happy with Big Hybrid by Charley from Evans, CO on 04/16/2008. Trim: 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid 4HY 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: We've had the 4wd Hybrid Yukon for two weeks and are getting a combined 20.3 mpg. It is driven ~40 miles per day with 30 of it on highway and the other 10 in town. You can get better mileage if you watch the economy gauge. It handles great for a large SUV and has plenty of power if you ignore the economy and put your foot into the 6.0L V8. The touch screen radio/nav screen works great.
Cons: Rear seat access is difficult since it doesn't come with captain's chairs for the 2nd row and it would have been nice if the 3rd row was a stowaway instead of removable. The entry to the rear is cumbersome for adults, but my kids, 7 and 9 years old, can operate the pneumatic assisted 2nd row seat to get into the back.
Overall review: If you want or need to drive a big SUV I can't see how you can go wrong with the Hybrid Yukon. It has the power to tow and size to accomodate 7-8 passengers but gets as good of gas mileage as many 4-5 passenger SUVs that don't have the power to tow. If you are lucky enough to live in a state like Colorado that gives tax incentives, it brings the price of the hybrid down to less than an equivocally trimmed standard Yukon. It is fun surprising people when pulling up to them. They hear what sounds like a golf cart and are then surprised to see a Yukon coming.
