Sports car for the family man
by Andrew from Idaho on 05/23/2011.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Great four door for the performance enthusiast. I bought my GT with 28k miles and haven't looked back. Has enough power for all the speed and smoking tires you want. Even with a 6.0 V8 I get anywhere from 26-29 mpg on the highway. Sporty handling but it still rides awesome. HUGE back seat, my friends always choose to ride in this car. It looks great too....people frequently compliment it and mistake it for being a much more expensive car.
Cons:
GM still could have done a little more with the interior. Fairly nice material and fit and finish...but somewhat bland interior detail. A little detail on the interior could have gone a long way. No XM option ??? Really???
Overall review:
I've always been used to driving a sports car. My last two vehicles were a BMW 330i and a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. For a guy like me who loves sports cars but has a family....this G8 is the perfect package

Great Performance/Great Car
by G8 Lover on 03/08/2013.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac G8 Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Styling and power. Handles like a five series BMW but does not cost like one. Gauges are clear and can be read easily. Very reliable.
Cons:
Some of the interior materials can be better. I had a plastic trim piece break off.
Overall review:
Fabulous car. Powerful and has great lines. I am constantly getting compliments on the car and since mine is debadged, no one believes it is a Pontiac. My previous car was an E46 BMW (3 Series) and i was afraid no other car would be able to drive and handle like my 3 series. I am actually impressed on how close it came to my 3 series in handling (given that it weighs 500lbs more). I would definitely recommend this car (if you can find it!)

Wish they still made G8's
by PA G8 on 02/15/2013.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac G8 Sedan.
Useful?
Pros:
The G8 is an amazing car. Its large and it drives like a sports car. Still feels comfortable on the interstate even at 100mph plus.
Cons:
Wish the passenger seat would go back as far as the drivers seat.
Overall review:
Sad there aren't more of these on the road. Hopefully the Chevrolet SS will be better than the G8 next year. Have 60k on it, and not a single problem yet.

Great Car, Needs Work
by nleamons22 on 05/12/2012.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Quick sports car, a lot of room, has the power to race but also the ability to get 18 mpg in town with 6.0l with some practice. Can also achieve 29 mpg on highway, great car overall.
Cons:
Front end problems, control arms, ball joints, with only 60k on the car have had to replace control arms; now working on sway bar and end links for noise. Missing something on the interior, kind of bland. Oil pressure and battery gauges are a great idea just wish there was a way to dim them down alittle.
Overall review:
Good car wish they didn't discontinue them so early. Could have been remodeled with more aggresive rear end, strong differential, and more exotic interior. Good car but missing something.
