Awesome Sedan by Jack Sparrow from D-Town on 11/19/2013. Trim: 2008 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Roomy Interiors Reasonable Fuel Economy (25 Combined) Trouble-free ownership Good visibility Large Trunk
Cons: Sluggish Handling Slower Acceleration
Overall review: Absolutely love it..! This is my 2nd Accord. This car may not have sports car like handling or muscle car like acceleration but if you are driving it on regular roads like most people do then it is very good to own. Very predictable driving experience Only regular maintenance no repairs and the car is already 5 years old with 70k miles.

not bad brakes, just owners that dont understand by rich houston, tx on 12/04/2009. Trim: 2008 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan AT, Owned 1 year.
Pros: very nice car for the money $ 20,000 love the size of the interior
Cons: gas milage could be better, the front seats could be a little softer
Overall review: had this car for 18 mos. no problems at all. i do want to point out to everyone why the rear brake pads fail so quickly its because of the ESA (electronic stability assist) everytime you go around a corner the rear brakes are being applied to help stabilize the car. the rear pads are thinner then the front because the front do 80% of the stopping. and here in houston tx. 20,000 is average. i know this because i work at a dealership and know a lot of honda techs that have told me whats wrong. most of the time the rear brakes are applied you dont even know it. and i have worked for many car lines brakes are only warranty for 12mos. or 12k miles after thats its considered maint. hope this helps you, knowing theres no safety issue with these cars. the owners manuel will tell you how the system works.

Not a Honda by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/01/2012. Trim: 2008 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Plenty of leg room in the front and back seats, excellent for comfortable long ride of four people.
Cons: Engine oil consumption leaves much to be desired: currently at 40K miles, it's 0.75 quarts per 1000 miles for 5w-20 oil. It seems Honda dropped the ball regarding the quality of its product. It's a nuisance to add oil every other time you pump gas. And Honda tells that it's within their specs, really!?
Overall review: Very disappointed in Honda quality. I would not recommend this vehicle to a friend.

Awesome! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/08/2009. Trim: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe AT, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Love my Accord, however I won't drive it in the snow.
Cons: Traction problems in snowy conditions.
Overall review: Love my Accord! Encourage everyone to own at least 1. Doesn't always come with all the bells and whistles others look for, however you will never find a more dependable vehicle. All I ever had to do with my previous 2005 Accord was change the oil! I would still be driving it it if hadn't been totaled in local 2007 flood.

Oil Burner by Burnt by Accord in Midwest on 05/21/2012. Trim: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Sedan, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Nice size car and the 4 cylinder does well on gas. There is plenty of vroom. Size is good.
Cons: 1. Leather seats are cracking at 56k miles. 2. VCT replaced as it made noise. 3. Collateral damage in engine from carbon. Known bug in software where fuel in cylinders not fully burned.(update performed in late 2011) Carbon built up, burning 1 quart of oil every 1200 miles. Car under warranty, they cleaned engine, did not work, now replaced pistons/rings under warranty, but there are many of these cars with this problem. Used car buyers beware. 4. Honda dealer not standing behind their customers to get Honda to solve the problem. They say 1 quart every 1k miles is sufficient. 5. With all Honda's there is lots of road noise.
Overall review: Overall, I love the car. There are problems with this vintage of accord. It was not their best version. I sincerely hope the engine issues are cleared up. I'm 500 miles into the new pistons/rings. So far, so good.
