Not a Honda
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/01/2012.
Trim: 2008 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan, Owned 4 years.
2
Pros:
Plenty of leg room in the front and back seats, excellent for comfortable long ride of four people.
Cons:
Engine oil consumption leaves much to be desired: currently at 40K miles, it's 0.75 quarts per 1000 miles for 5w-20 oil. It seems Honda dropped the ball regarding the quality of its product. It's a nuisance to add oil every other time you pump gas. And Honda tells that it's within their specs, really!?
Overall review:
Very disappointed in Honda quality. I would not recommend this vehicle to a friend.

Awesome!
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/08/2009.
Trim: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe AT, Owned 1 year.
2
Pros:
Love my Accord, however I won't drive it in the snow.
Cons:
Traction problems in snowy conditions.
Overall review:
Love my Accord! Encourage everyone to own at least 1. Doesn't always come with all the bells and whistles others look for, however you will never find a more dependable vehicle.
All I ever had to do with my previous 2005 Accord was change the oil! I would still be driving it it if hadn't been totaled in local 2007 flood.

not bad brakes, just owners that dont understand
by rich houston, tx on 12/04/2009.
Trim: 2008 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan AT, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
very nice car for the money $ 20,000
love the size of the interior
Cons:
gas milage could be better,
the front seats could be a little softer
Overall review:
had this car for 18 mos. no problems at all. i do want to point out to everyone why the rear brake pads fail so quickly its because of the ESA (electronic stability assist) everytime you go around a corner the rear brakes are being applied to help stabilize the car. the rear pads are thinner then the front because the front do 80% of the stopping. and here in houston tx. 20,000
is average. i know this because i work at a dealership and know a lot of honda techs that have told me whats wrong. most of the time the rear brakes are applied you dont even know it.
and i have worked for many car lines brakes are only warranty for 12mos. or 12k miles after thats its considered maint. hope this helps you, knowing theres no safety issue with these cars. the owners manuel will tell you how the system works.

Trim: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V-6 Sedan AT w/ Nav, Owned 1 year.
2
Pros:
Good power and handling. Well built. A lot of luxury features at a reasonable price.
Cons:
Database in the navi system is not a good as my portable GPS system. Splash guards and interior under the dash lights are extra cost options.
Overall review:
Well designed and quality built vehicle with many luxury features for the person that does not want to over pay for a luxury car badge.

My 2008 Honda Accord 4-cylinder
by Gina, East Tennessee on 10/10/2012.
Trim: 2008 Honda Accord EX Sedan, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
I bought my 2008 Honda Accord EX 4 cylinder brand new. I was so proud of my car. My car is garage kept. I think I get excellent gas mileage. My car has a nice appearance until it gets cold weather, Then, I look at it different because when I start it, it makes a scretching rattle sound that people take notice of. They ask "What is wrong with your car?". I always tell them what happens every year. I have been told several times to trade it; but, I can not afford to trade. And, I do know what is wrong with it. Other than the VTC values, I have had no other problems with my car.
Cons:
I do not like that the VTC value has to replaced every year! I have had problems every Fall/Winter (cold weather) with the VTC value and I have to have it replaced. What that means is: At start up, my car engine rattles loudly due to OIL NOT GOING INTO THE ENGINE. Which is NOT good for the engine. (dry start). It is very embarassing and people do take notice. I bought my 2008 Honda Accord New. My car is garage kept. It has been replaced with parts that are supposed to have fixed. However, that is not true. My 2008 Honda Accord 4 cylinder is making that noise again!!!!!! It started last week!!!. I'll have to PAY to get it fixed again to keep my engine from blowing UP!!!
Overall review:
I do not tell people to buy or not buy the Honda Accord EX 4-cylinder. I tell what happens to my and they can decide for themselves. So far, I do not know anyone that has purchased a Honda Accord new or used.
