Excellent buy.
by Joe from Boston on 12/22/2008.
Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LT1 Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Economical to own. Minimal maintenance.
Cons:
Small trunk opening. Trunk is spacious but opening should be bigger to get suitcases & boxes in & out.
Overall review:
Vehicle runs very well, very efficient on gas & oil. Highly recommend to anyone looking for economy. Very competitive with small foreign economy cars. I prefer to buy American.

Pros:
The MP3 capability

Cons:

This is my first car, and i absolutely love it. I really like the style and the interior. The backseats comfortably fit 3 people, and the trunk is very large for a compact vehicle.

Happy with my Balt!
by Dousman Bob on 04/24/2013.
Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan, Owned 5 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Great gas mileage for 25k/year - summer average 39mpg winter average 34.5 (wisconsin winters), basic comforts are good. Easy to change oil filter (has cartridge not spin on)
Cons:
Seat padding is failing after 4 years (100,000 miles), couple of small rattles, brakes will pulse on occasion.
small trunk opening
Overall review:
As I drive 25k/year, the only 'modification' I have done is replace the air filter with a K&N stock size filter and use mobil1 0w-30 fuel economy oil.
As a commuter car, and as basic transportation, this one is reliable, cheap to own and drive.

Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
love the look, stance, audio system, performance, interior is nice. it has alot of information displayable to the driver. i own the ss turbocharged model and i will have to admit.. this thing is very, very fast.and it feels very smooth to drive.. so far no issues except my tire pressure sensors just went.. other then that nothing..the features on my car consist of, sunroof, premium audio,5 speed manual, power everything, turbocharged 2.0 L 4 cyl. ss embroidered seats, battery relocation into trunk and a bunch of other things. absolutely love this car.. very good on gas when i drive it like an older woman.
Cons:
how bad on gas it can be when you floor the gas pedal.i can get about 200 per tank if im flooring it all the time.
Overall review:
love the car, fun to drive. very reliable. has alot of bells and whistles

Not so bad.

Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
I understand what everyone is saying about the electrail issues. I have speakers that go in and out. Other than that I have had no major issues. My cobalt has over 61,000 miles on it. It gets good gas mileage and is at a good price when buying.
Cons:
I hate the fact that the speakers go in and out.
Overall review:
I would buy one used so all the major issues are taking care of and always get a extended warrtanry.
