Pros:
Everything except the vanity mirror design and ipod interface
Cons:
ipod interface and vanity mirrori
Overall review:
I just purchased a used 08 GL320 with 28K miles on it. It is awesome!! impressive performance and I got 23MPG driving from Dallas to Phoenix!!!!! the ipod hook up could be better and I do not like the vanity mirror design that MB uses as the light is already not working properly,, everything else is supperb, smoothe ride, strong engine, quite, etc...... I would highly recommend buying one used as they depreciate poorly as mine was about 80K new and I got it for 53K with 28K miles....
I would say that you should make sure that it is loaded with all options, this is truly what makes this car special. Hope this helps!!

Worst. Purchase. Ever.

Pros:
I like the engine and transmission. Also the fuel economy on a truck of this size is very impressive.
Cons:

Overall review:
The infotainment system is the worst I have seen in a luxury car. The controls are poorly designed and hard to use. The integration of the system is one of the worst I have seen. Tire pressure sensor is the dumbest I have seen.. It tells you that pressure is low.. but you have to figure out in which tire and by how much. Oil level sensor was replaced twice within the first 2 months. Tires and brakes wore out before 20k miles.. Bluetooth adapter is a $500 option, but is not well integrated. Mine failed after 12 months and 6 days. Trailer hitch had to be fixed (there was a recall) which required a 2 day visit to the dealer. Finally, two days ago, the new Bluetooth adapter, Satellite radio, Compass, and all speakers decided to quit working. I have already scheduled another dealer visit to fix it.! I will NOT buy another Mercedes EVER!

Beautiful Super Truck!!!!
by Big "C" from Fort Worth on 10/25/2007.
Trim: 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL550, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
The aggresive styling make it stand out above the rest.
Mine is not broken in yet but this is obviously a very fast vehicle with an abundance of power.
The handling is superb so far.
It has many amazing features that will take a while to learn.
Cons:
Due to the swept back windshield, it's easy to bump one's head if the seat is raised.
Would like more storage compartments inside the cabin.
Overall review:
I closely reviewed every SUV on the market and this is the one for me!

GL Road Trip
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/24/2013.
Trim: 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL450, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Just purchased a used 2008 GL 450 with 37,000 miles on it. Two plastic valve inspection engine parts on the rear of the block started leaking after having it for a week. Got that fixed and took the car on a 2,000 mile trip. What a dream to drive. The seats are extremely comfortable even in the 3rd row. Very quiet ride. After 15 hours straight on the road, I was ready to drive even further. In the parking lot the sensors are nice up front and in the rear. Back-up camera is very good. Turning radius is great. Seven speed transmission shifts smootly and the low end torque pushes the vehicle up a hill even when loaded with luggage and 7 people.
Cons:
Inputting the destination on the navigation system could be laid out better. Voice recognition is not perfect, but I have not found a device that is. Miss the ability to move the 2nd row seats back and forth like in my ML to give more leg room between driver and 2nd row.
Overall review:
I would recommend this vehicle. Looking forward to the next family trip. One of the best family trip vehicles. The old "Turtle Top" conversion van was fun too, but when we hit a snow storm the GL proved itself once again.
