If I could have found the Silverado I wanted GM would have come in 2nd.
by glenn dunham from Redlands on 03/25/2010.
Trim: 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE1 Long Box 2WD, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros:
not much
Cons:
tires wearing too rapidly. engine compartment gets too dusty and hard to clean. rides hard, nothing as good as our silverado that has 320,000 miles on it. should have power windows.
Overall review:
overall I'd rate it a 7 because I like to service my own truck and GM makes it impossible to do that.

Best in Class
by X-Man on 12/24/2008.
Trim: 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab AWD, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
Very good performance with very little gas mileage penalty compared to other trucks, six speed transmission, interior and exterior fit and finish are very good.
Heated seat and steering wheel are very nice features to have in winter.
AWD with locking rear differential provide good traction and are ideal for those who are not into serious off roading.
Cons:
Premium fuel recommended.
Should have had integrated bluetooth (2009 models have it) rather than requiring a separate phone # through Onstar.
Bose radio is only average sound quality.
Overall review:
Great truck for those looking for a high performance full featured luxury vehicle that can carry 5 people in comfort yet retains most of the towing and load carrying utility of a regular pickup.
I test drove a Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 I-force engine. It's a good truck but the Sierra is a better truck, especially the interior.
